COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The laws protecting the brewing of kolsch are as strict as the German Purity Law of 1516. Kolsch beer can only be brewed within the city of Cologne. As the best-known kolsch brewery, Gaffel’s flavor is derived from an ale yeast that is "lagered" (or aged) in cold cellars. Gaffel is pale, faintly fruity with a crisp, hop finish. Enjoy as an aperitif or digestif.

Pours a lively carbs gold with a quick residing white head. Some lace. Aroma is light malt, wheat, hay and grass. Taste is malty light and refreshing. Enjoyable change of pace, I think this would be enjoyed by non craft beer fans at a BBQ.

The taste is creamy, dough, sweetness, herbal, grass, pepper and underlying sweetness. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Easy drinking, but not a whole lot of depth to it. So-so.

I just don’t know if we could move 350 hl in a short enough time to make it work. It might be possible, in fact, but I just don’t know, and I don’t even know how we could find out.
