3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Gaffel am Dom restaurant in Köln. Clear yellow with a decent fluffy white head. Aroma is bread, clover, yeast, earthy hops. Light bodied, lightly hopped but that balances the hint of maltiness nicely. Subtly bitter on the palate with an earthy finish. Taste is sourdough, chamomile, hint of mineral. Definitely prefer the Päffgen to this one - this was much more lager-like, but it is still easy drinking.

Bottle, thnx to McTapps, cheers! Pours a clear golden beer with a thin fizzy white head on top. Aroma is sweet, malty and has slight touches of butter. Flavour is mildly sweet and thin with a watery mouthfeel and an oily texture. Decent beer, easy drinkable and sessionable.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500mL bottle, pours a clear pale yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out loads of corn, and other cheap adjuncts - not much here. Flavour brings out rich notes of corn, a little hay and not much else. Very ordinary and bland, but well-made and refreshing. Solid but unspectacular.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear yellow with a white foam head. Good lacing. Aroma if hay, grass and noble hops. Taste is sweet with a light bitter hop offset. Smooth a bit too much in the sweet side, but not cidery.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Average beer. Tasty a bit sweet, pleasant appearance but a bit tame, hardly no lasting taste.
