Bottle 50cl. A clear golden beer. Smell is pilsen like. Aroma is typically on lager with spicy and nut finish. Quite bitter at the finish with metallic notes, malty character is nice. Very common.

very pale yellow and clear, very big head. smells like a basement, a tiny bit of butter thats been in a warm room, subdued. taste is a tiny touch of nice alcohol, diacetyl (butter) mixed with sweetness, almost no hops detected. my first kolsch, a little too pricey for essentially an interesting german lager, but the unusual variation might make me get it again.

Bottle from LCBO. Clear and discreetly bubbly yellow color. Thin head vanishes quickly. Decidedly modest scent, nearly absent with light notes of malt and dried grassy. Little pungent taste and decidedly sweetish. Little perceivable alcohol; soft and mellow body. A pleasant beer but fairly unassuming and easily forgettable.

Draught at the brewery.Yellow colour with medium white head.Aroma of hops and malt,fresh with flavor of hay and water a bit thin with mild finish.

500 ml bottle - pours very light straw gold with a decent egg white head. Mildly corny and sweet malty aroma, with a vague presence of hops. Pilsnerish. Sweet, meadowy flavour with a decent showing from some noble hops. Bit of a prickly moutheel. Quenching. Good, not great. With solid local option from Beau’s available, can’t see myself buying much more of this.

Draft. Golden beer with a whitish head. Light malt and light hop aroma. Grainy and mineral flavor with hops. Medium bodied. Grain, malt and mineral notes linger with grassy and woodsy hops.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2010 500 ml bottle from the LCBO. pours clear straw yellow. a touchof pale malt sweetness in the nose also a bit husky. very clean and straight forward flavour. dry finish. mediocure overall, wont be buying more EDIT EDIT EDIT 5 liter keg over open championship weekend. easy to drink and subtly complex. not at all like the stale bottle i had previously. one of the better session options ive ever come across.

I’m really not impressed with this beer. It’s pretty watery, there isn’t enough hops, and I felt kind of like I was drinking it without knowing exactly why.
