3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JohnQPublic (387) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - DEC 19, 2008
Draught. One of my favorite styles. Pours a clear yellow, slightly effervescent, with a fluffy white head and nice lacing. Nose is faint, lightly fruity and dry pale malt, light hops. taste is superbly light and crisp - dry, clean malt note with a very light fruity presence, balanced by a dry finish that hints at bitterness. Mouthfeel is dry, crisp and very light. This is a subtle style, but one that I could drink all year long. Fantastic beer fresh.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BustedFlat (554) - Edina, Minnesota, USA - DEC 4, 2008
Sampled at the Great Decatur Beer Tasting Festival in Georgia on 10/18/08. Yellowish in color. Fruity aroma. Taste was light sweet and fruity. Decent for a lighter style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kassner (1002) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 1, 2008
I have had this on tap in Koeln, but this was a bottle. Great Koelsch, with fruits and grapefruit and that drying finish. Carbonation just right. My favorite on tap but pretty good fro m the bottle also.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 heavy (1466) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 30, 2008
0.5 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured golden body with medium-smaller head. Nothing special in aroma, some undefined industrial hops. Bitter flavor, also somewhat sugar sweet with quite thin body. Bitterish, short and unimpressive finish. I had only one beer of the style before and that was much better, this is just a bit different than fine pale lagers. Not too fruity and without any estery characters, it is not so typical for the style.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Marko (2977) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 29, 2008
0.5l can brought from Germany by a friend (thanks Alen!), shared with heavy. Poured a golden body with a relatively big fluffy white head that went away at a medium pace. Quite dusty hoppy nose. Sweet candyish-fruity but a little soapy maltiness with some light dusty hoppiness. One can hardly tell it apart from a (relatively good) pale lager. A very simple Kölsch.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hophead75 (2005) - Largo, Florida, USA - OCT 24, 2008
bottle. Light golden, clear with a medium head that recedes. Aroma is grainy with light notes of fruit and bread. Taste is somewhat grainy and dry with light touches of fruity esters, slightly metallic, with a light hop bittering finish. Might have been a bit better fresher.

50 cl bottle at home, bought in Germany by my mother. Clear golden color, fine white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy. Flavor is malty, fruity sweetness, some bitterness. Fine, ut could have had more carbonation.
