1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Great big carbonation. Stinky skunk aroma which mellows out to a typical european malty/hops pilsner aroma. Color is a pale gold. Flavor is malty with corn and crap. Actually, it has a hint of Guldens spicey brown mustard. Little bit of spice in the flavor. I really despise these european mass produced beers. Do they actually drink them over there or are they just imported for the unsuspecting american. Anyway, a beer that I would avoid.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale colour with a fine white head. Very nice aroma with a wonderfully rounded hoppiness upon a fruity sweetness. Flavour is pleasant but somewhat pilsener-like ending in a moderately bitter finish. Slightly watery palate, but a crisp and decent Kölsch nonetheless (or so I think - this is my first).

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A yellow beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is malty with hints of citrus and slightly sour - a boring aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of citrus and coriander.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale yellow beer with a frothy white head. Weak malty, hoppy and flowery aroma. Flavor is malty and hoppy and quite ordinary, like a flavorfull pilsener.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Clear, yellow lager. Very light aroma with notes of butterscotch and lemon rind. Well-balanced flavor. Just short of moderately bitter. Light-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2004 Aroma is very grassy with a musty quality. Slightly acrid, but not in a bad way. Unique odor. Color is golden with an ample lasting pure white head. Short sharp bitterness makes itselft known early, but fades quickly. A bit tart with a slight grapefruit flavor that fades into obscurity. A tad watery, but quenching nonetheless. A hint of skunkiness hangs off the back end of the swallow.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500mL Bottle, 04.26.04. Pours pale golden straw color; large, bubbly head, fades quickly to a trace. Head has a soapy iradescence (using a freshened pilsner glass). Aroma reeks of grain, grass, and cardboard. Pilsnerish. Watered down, bland texture with no active carbonation (sounded fresh when I popped the cap). Crisp, bitter finish has a metallic sting to it. Wet corrugated cardboard is prominent in nose and flavor. I did not enjoy this beer that seemed uncomfortably stuck between Kolsch and Pilsener - hardly any fruit to it, and not a pleasing bitterness, although it was dryly bitter. Perhaps a bad bottle.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale golden color, a bit lighter than I would have thought it should be, and see through. Bubbly white head. Slightly sweet and grainy aroma. FLavor is weird--possibly skunky and finishes with an astringent bitter taste. Not all that good.
