3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 bottle poured into Leffe chalice. Golden colour, small head which didn’t hang around long, kept some lacing, clear. Aroma combined Chardonay grape with a really fresh bitter hoppy North German Pils aroma. Tasted Chardonay grape, fruits, had a light sourness. Finsh was bitter. Well carbonated which gave it a coarse edge, body was thick for the fairly light ABV. Had the fell of Pils mixed with Sekt which is what happens in parts of Germany.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of light sweet honey with a touch of grain. It pours a transparent dull gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a soapy film. There is some sporadic dotted lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with with a quick dose of sweet grain. The finish has light-moderate grass/straw with faint mineral notes. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, a nice refreshing Kolsch.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Probably the best-known Kölsch and a reference for its style. Stable, snow white head, pale golden blonde colour, clear. Gentle grassy hops and sweetish malts in the nose, taste rather neutral at first, light and soft pale maltiness, ever so slight sourish touch, crisp and clean, ending in a dry, pretty long, herbal hop bitterness. Subtle and near lager-like as any good Kölsch should be.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very nice, light, pilsener like beer. It’s very refrehing due to a malty flavour and a slightly hopped finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured on the outdoor tables at the Alter Markt. Puppies clear follow with slight white foam head that persists. Mild yeast and Pilsner nose that yields to a slightly sweet palate. Carbonic aftertaste that scrubs the palate.

A crisp and refreshing but somewhat flavorless beer. Faint alcohol warmth on the pleasantly bitter finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
draught. Golden colour, small fizzy head. Grassy and grains, bit of an off-funky aftertaste. Had better kolsch in Cologne than this one.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma of light malt. Bready biscuity malt flavor. Woody vegetable notes in the finish. Herbal bitter finish. Okay. Sweeter than expected.
