3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle- Pours a deep golden color with a decent head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness and a bit of citrus and spice. Taste of Caramel sweetness with a touch of spice and bit of fruit in the background. Mild bitteriness and a clean finish. Fairly medium body, smooth and easy. Decent drinker but could use a bit more character.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2016 This beer fills the void left by Dos Blockos Pale getting more expensive and Fat Yak getting turned into the pisswater CUB have turned it into. Relatively cheap, reliable, hoppy, well balanced. Pours a cloudy gold with foamy white head that settles quickly. Aroma is grassy hops, pine, citrus a slight bready malt profile. Not exciting but decent enough. Taste is medium sweet medium bitter. Palate is overly carbonated and a bit thin; certainly the beers weakest point.

Restrained grassy aroma in a golden pour. Reasonably balanced brew with a brief hint of fruity malt in the body before a receding finish. No hint of the four American hops used in its production though.

Refreshing, the long bitter finish reminds me more of a lager. Solid beer and summer time friend

One of the best value beers Iím yet to drink. Overall, I think this beer tastes better than a lot of the "premium" pale ales on the market, the cheaper price is a bonus that makes the overall experience that much sweeter (although not literally!).
Quite a fruity aroma and strong-flavoured taste, but thatís how I like my pale and golden ales. Howver, unlike other similarly strong flavoured ales, I can happily get through a six pack or more of these without it becoming overpowering.
Would strongly recommend! The other beers that Iíve tried out of Gage Roads Brewery are also quality.

Bottle. Some caramel and indistinct hop flavours. Not a bad beer, especially for the price. Not exactly memorable though

One of the cheapest beers at the local Liquorland. Citrus, delicate hops bitterness, cloudy appearance. Not bad at all. Probably much better than most of the more expensive pales on offer there

Bottle. Cloudy pale yellow, low white head. Fine lime and spruce hop aromatics on a light biscuit malt base. Medium light dry body, sparkles. No worries.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Easy to drink beer with floral notes from the hops, a little bit of bitterness following the aroma.
You could easily have a session on it with friends & it could easily be a gateway beer into the world of craft beer.
Overall, absolutely nothing offensive about this beer whatsoever. It is interesting enough without being over the top. It probably wonít polarise people, (especially the uninitiated) the way that some big IPAs do.
