The taste make up for appearance and aroma. Light/medium bitterness that finishes crisp and clean.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jade (311) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 14, 2011
Clear caramel colour, minimal head. Not quite as dark as most IPAs. Sweet toffee and roasted touches to the nose. Bitter, oaky flavour followed by the tart aftertaste. Not as strong as most. Not a bad example of the style though, just slightly watered down.
2.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 WestSydneyBoy (23) - South Penrith, AUSTRALIA - NOV 12, 2010
Poors orange gold with little head that quickly disapears, light carbonation in the english style nice malt toffee sweatness, finishing with sone resin hop biterness. Slight toffee aroma, can not detect hops on the nose unusual for ipa. Overall a decent drink, but wish it had more head and a nice hop aroma.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bozoNZ (672) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 5, 2010
Sl cloudy copper. Dead in the glass - just no life. Spearment nose and that again on the palate too. If you don’t think too hard about it, it actually drinks reasonable well. It’s better than the sum of the parts.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mjollnir (335) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - SEP 17, 2010
330mL bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a medium head that quickly disappears. Aromas of cut grass, vegetation and mulch with some malt. Medium sweetness, mild bitterness, some toast, vegetation. Light bodied, average carbonation and a short finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ComradeK (530) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - AUG 8, 2010
330ml bottle. Pours mid-brown, with a sizeable head, good retention and strong lacing. Smelled a bit like a cheap lager at first, and the alarm bells were ringing, but it opens up, revealing a nice hoppy nose. Lots of floral and pine notes. Strongly bitter to begin, dominated by floral hops. There is prickling carbonation on the palate, leading into a finish of pine hops and a hint of toffee malt. A nice IPA; not the most complex beer out there, but a nice one regardless.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ndon (857) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 bit of a bland ipa, nothing to get excited about. good one to start someone who doesnt drink ipa’s on before gradually moving them onto hoppier beers
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Maris (546) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUN 12, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2010 From a 330ml bottle on 13/6/2010. I think this one is a little under-rated on here. While it may not be world class, it’s still an above average beer. It has a nice, distinct caramel and citrus fruit aroma. Taste wise, it’s malty and fruity, with a hint of nuts. A reasonable amount of hop action is evident in the long finish, though it’s pretty subdued for an IPA.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bmeup (421) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - MAY 8, 2010
Clear amber with a disappearing head. Some buscuity bread, sweetness and feint hops. Is this an IPA? No. More an English style. This is the third [and last] beer from this crew. Very disappointing.
