COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gage Road Pils is craft brewed to be a superior midstrength lager. Pure malt and noble hops combine to give Pils its complex and refreshing Australian character.
Gage Roads PILS is the first pilsner style midstrength in Australia. It's only 3.5% alcohol by volume but displays all the distinctive qualities of a full strength European pilsner. Crisp and effervescent with a dry, refreshing finish, it's a midstrength you'll actually enjoy drinking.

330ml bottle. pours yellow in colour. Slight hop aroma. Biscuity malt flavour. A bit too malty for a pilsner. Drinkable, but nothing special, slight bitter aftertaste.

Bottle - Pours pale yellow with a fizzy head which disappeared before I could get the glass to my mouth. Bready aroma with a slight hint of hops. More of a pils aroma from the bottle than in the glass. Malt on the taste with some hop dryness and flavour in the finish. moderate carbonation.

Buttery shortbread and floral/citrus in this one. Not too shabby for a mid. Much better than some of the beers that compare to it

Clear pale gold with white head. Subdued aromas & flavours of malt & hops. More an average mid pale lager, but hey for what it is, it’s ok.

330ml bottle. Rich amber colour with a smooth frothy head. Sparkling with mild carbonation and a stong hop and malt aroma. Mild bitterness which is cleansing on the palate. Crisp and clean to taste - a good session beer.

Bottle. Buttery floral aroma. Clean malty palate, but a bit too grainy for me.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - AUG 31, 2008
Bottle (330ml). Poured clear gold with a small, rocky, white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was dominated by sweet grainy malts with some metallic notes, corn, light notes of wet paper and a hint of pineapple/citrus. Flavor was thin, watery and bland with virtually no bitterness; sweet grainy malts, lemon and metallic/rusty notes in the finish. Light bodied with lively carbonation, a watery texture and a short finish. Not so much offensive as much as it just lacks flavor - I am much in the same mind of Sully on this one.
