A medium bodied, golden & highly carbonated liquid with a small white frothy head which rapidly disappears. Flavor, malty with a short bitter dry metallic finish. A very nice lager. (Came in a dark brown bottle)

Bottle. Cracked this one and drank straight from the bottle, so cannot accurately ’gage’ the head, nor the colour properly. The first mouthful agreed with the label: Super smooth. Not in a watery kind of way, although it is an aussie lawnmower lager, but in a pleasantly malty, not-in-any-way offensive way. One of the nicest Australian lagers I have tasted in fact. Much better than I expected, would definitely prefer it to crownies, or VB or New.

I actually enjoy this as a pure lager. It is clearly nothing special but a 6 pack would do you just fine

Pale yellow thin head. Some hops & straw. Lacks character in all departments.

Straw yellow, clear coloured pour. Ne head to speak of (minimal white). Highly hopped aroma, but not very pleasant. Tastes better then it smells. Pedestrian flavour, quite thin. Not a terrible beer, not great either.

mkel07 (1816) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 6, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2010 330ml bottle. Clear and bright yellow in colour with a moderate snow white head and an aroma of malt and grain that is very basic. Rebranded with a new name and label but beer is still quite orinary. Very thin and watery and lackjing in any sort of flavour.

Bottle. A touch of honey to the malty aroma. Honey notes again on the clean palate - that improved as it warmed. A hoppy bite in the finish.

Small white head, diminishing, no lace. Very slight herb-hops aroma. Very balanced flavour, simple and boring. Pleasant and very smooth on palate, soft carbonation. This beer is playing it safe... too safe.Yes, smooth, but boring.

...bottle. Not bad, not good, not anything. Decent malt flavor, and hops on the nose and finish. Smooth from the lagering, but otherwise nothing special.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - FEB 14, 2008
Bottle (330ml). Poured a pale golden with a tight frothy head which lasted well. Aroma was of stale malts, wet cardboard, corn, honey and faint lemon. Flavor was mainly of stale/musky malts with some honey, hay and a metallic finish. Light bodied with lively carbonation, watery texture and a short finish.
