2011-08-05. Crisp orange amber body with a modest off white head. Flavour is quite fruity up front, sweetish malt then a fair bit of green hoppy bitterness. 7 Smooth average plus bodied palate. Modest aroma is fruity with modest hop character similar to that of the flavour. 7 Overall it is enjoyable but could bump up the hops a bit. As it is the fruity character (from the yeast?) dominates. On tap at the brewpub.

500ml bottle. Pours brown/orange amber. Nice colour but almost no head. Light lacing. Floaties! Very faint aroma of caramel and grapefruit hops. I’d say the taste was earthy, but it is really more like dirt. Some light orange peel, caramel and biscuit. Palate thinner than I’d prefer. Overall, not recommended. Maybe it’s better on tap.

Bottle. Pours a murky copper-orange with a large off-white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma of orange peel and pine with peach and mild caramel backing notes. Big mouthfeel, a bit syrupy as it warms up. Nice flavour - good balance off the top, with fruity malt and resiny hops, and then a building orange rind bitterness with a slight yeasty tang in the long finish. Very nice stuff - & good to know that I’ll have something decent to drink next time I visit my folks in Summerside.

Bottled sample from the brewery. Rich malty taste. Great beer. Glad my wife brought two of them home.

[3860-20110805] Tap. Hoppy light pine resin aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a quick foamy white head. More bitter pine resin in the flavour. Medium body. Tasty, my favourite so far. (7/3/7/4/14) 3.5

Very clear copper pour with eggshell head that dissipates rather quickly. Fairly light on the nose with some citrus and pine but no real complexity at all. Very sprucey on the palate with a light crisp bitter finish. I get the impression this beer may have been filtered heavily and had its character striped away as a result.

On tap @ the brewery as part of a tasting tray. Clear bright orange amber, white clingy head. Papaya and peach hoppy character, a little sticky, medium bitterness. Not a very bitter IPA, but nice flavour.

On tap at Gahan House brewpub, PEI. Pours out amber topped with a small off white head. Aroma was of light hops not like I am used to living here in the PNW. Taste was more of the light hops and sweet malts. More of a English style IPA that a smack you in the face American IPA.
