5.3% a/v, 500ml bottle. All the way from PEI from my lovely fiancee. Pours a mahogony brown with a dense tan head, aromas of nuts, chocolate, and some leather. The taste is very dense, sweet, malty, and chocolatey with the nuts to back it up (not like that you sicko!) Palate is smooth and rich. Overall, good brown ale!

Very deep brown-mahogany with a nice creamy, light mocha head. Aroma: Slightly nutty, lots of earthy, British dark-roasted maltiness, slightly tangy and vinous, a touch ashen/smoky, brown sugar in the background, deep toffee/treacle, fair. Palate: Medium+ body, fairly smooth effervescence. Flav.: Nice dark-roasted maltiness, a little ashen

500 ml bottle via Candice, served cold in a tulip glass. 07SE12.

App.: Very deep brown-mahogany with a nice creamy, light mocha head. Aroma: Slightly nutty, lots of earthy, British dark-roasted maltiness, slightly tangy and vinous, a touch ashen/smoky, brown sugar in the background, deep toffee/treacle, fair. Palate: Medium+ body, fairly smooth effervescence. Flav.: Nice dark-roasted maltiness, a little ashen and earthy, a bit of brown sugar and treacle/toffee, a touch of molasses, a hint vinous, faint hints of tart fruitiness, fair again; dry with limited bitterness, faint bubble gum esters and a decent brown sugar and roasted malt finish.

Not a favourite, style-wise, but certainly affable.

Eructoblaster (2441) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle - 500ml. Dark brown body with heavy carbonation and an average off-white frothy head. Decent malty aroma with hoppy, grainy, and some brown sugar hints. Its well balanced, relatively robust malty/hoppy taste carries brown sugar and woody notes. Ends with a good bittersweet finish. Enjoyable.

On tap at brewpub, pours a clear brown with a small white head but leaves some lace. Smell is of roasted malt and biscuit. Taste of coffee on the tounge with a nice bitterness then it’s done, seems a bit flat at the end. A bit more body on this makes it a superb beer.

500 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of cocoa, carmel, fruittiness and toasted malt. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, cocoa, fruittiness and light earthiness with a smooth lingering fruity cocoa finish.

nice amber colour, good head and good aroma. Mild carbonation. If they were trying for a properly good English style brown ale they hit the mark right on.

Aroma: cola, cocoa , sweet grainy feel , lighter vibe than appearance suggested.
Appearance: wont rock your sensor system. Plain light brown with mellow carbonation, flat fizzy off white cap.
Taste: thin front with roast ,metallic hint , slight vinous touches. Deep plum. Thirst satisfying but with out depth. Rustic, bit rough yet decent in its own way.

[3859-20110805] Tap. Mild shoe leather aroma. Clear, dark amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Toasted caramelized bark flavour with a long sweet aftertaste. Medium-full body. Interesting. (6-/3/7/3/13) 3.2
