Soapkin ale. If they could catch the in between tastes of spices, malt, and pumpkin this beer would have a higher rating, but the aftertaste was all soap. It just dominated this beer. I tried it when it first came out on tap, maybe they fixed it now that they are bottling it.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I really wanted to love this, pumpkin anything is one of my favourite flavours. This beer was alright at best but there was always some soapy, astringent quality to it. It did had a nice flavour until that junk taste kicked in, ginger, allspice and roasted pumpkin, brown sugar and caramel malts. Very lightly hopped. Fix the soap issue and it’d be a pretty swell swill.

Nice beer with a very gold balance. The spice shines through but the roasted pumpkin is lacking.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Primarily nutmeg in the nose, but maybe (just maybe) I’m getting a little of the weizen as well. Colour is a great deep copper with a lasting white head. Taste is more pumpkin and spice. Not really my favourite style. Feel is medium-light. Finish is very clean. Not an everyday drinker for me.

500ml bottle. Pours a dark orangish brown, clear, decent sized head that lingers with some moderate lacing. Caramel malt and spice aroma. Taste is caramel malt, light spice, light pumpkin. Overall, pumpkin and spice are mild but well balanced.
