808s n FartRates review #13, courtesy of course of a kindly northerner who’s name unfortunately escapes me.
Pours basically black with a smallish head.

The aroma is roasty & chocolaty with a good coffee character. Inviting and very quintessentially stout-like.

The flavor is a touch ashy and fairly bitter without a whole lot of sweetness, although nor is it dry. It’s very nice, roasty and rich with good dark chocolate and coffee notes.

This is black w/ a tan ring of head. It has a nice roasty nose that creates the impression of coffee and chocolate. It is dry but full bodied w/ a lingering bit of bitterness in the finish.
