Pours a beige , fizzy, lasting head with a hazy, murky brown body. Aromas of red fruit and yeast. Flavor is red fruit, sweet, lightly toasted malt, hops to balance. Finish is a bit dry.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks Yoav. Cloudy-opaque muddy brown colour with a dissolving frothy cream-coloured head. Earthy, grass and spices aroma, Belgian ale style taste, yeasty, sweetish and good. Full body, carbonated, sweet finish.

Doesn’t really taste like a beer Biere de Garde. More like an ordinary amber ale. Malty and sweet. Not offensive in the least. But nothing to remember. OK
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 dornoy (699) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 30, 2005
Off-white head on an amber body. A good brew, not too bitter, well balanced. I got a 75 cl bottle, and I drank it over several days. It does not survive the fridge very well. Overall, a very drinkable beer, but not the best Ambrée I have tasted.

A pretty solid beer. I’d drink it when it becomes warm if I were you. Strange advice? Strange things come from french attempts at beer.

Launched in 2003, this exquisite brew has already picked up a Medialle D’Or and is fast becoming the most popular beer in its region. Available throughout Seine et Marne and a few outlets in Paris, it is an excellent accompaniment to meat, poultry and stromng cheese.
