2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tasted on handpull at Cassel’s The Brewery in Christchurch. Poured without any discernible head a hazy golden amber colour. The aroma was of rata honey, golden biscuity malt and slightly tropical sweet fruit aromas. To be honest it was a little sweet for me. I found they honeying to be a rough on my palate as I am quite sensitive to sweetness. It was more a British IPA style that the overt hoppy monsters from the states, which doesn’t count against it. I’m sorry team, I’m just not a fan of this one.
