COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Version of an Amercian Pale Ale, SSB has been made with both ale & lager malts and a touch of malted wheat. Hops used are whitebread golding variety and American cascade hop. It is crisp and refreshing with cascade hops to the fore and a good balancing bitterness from the hops. Fruit salad in a glass. First released July 2005.

Clear golden colour, with small white head. Big hopy aroma with big hoppy bitter tatse. Tyipcal of the style.

I was abit disapointed by this one. Considering the outstanding standard of the other galbraiths ales I was expecting big things from thier interpretation of an APA. Muted aroma of grainy malt and wheat ,slight cornflower note from the lager malt. Palate starts with a firm maltyness and develops to medium bitter finish. Where are the hops?

Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden, rich head. Lychee like hop aroma. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and solid bready malt. Pleasantly bitter finish.
