3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served up in a footed tulip glass today at the brewery.
Appropriately hazy apricot color, thin layer of white foam on the surface, some spotty lacing here and there. Visible trails of carbonation at the edges.
Distinctive apricot aroma, soft and mellow like fresh fruit, not sweet. Some indication of a wheaty base beer behind that.
Crisp feel, expressive natural apricot notes, again not sweet but complimentary to the light base beer. Not artificial at all, the use of whole fruit is evident. Nicely balanced and nuanced. Moderate carbonation, quenching and easy drinking. Would have grabbed a growler if it wasn’t $18... Reviewed on: 08-04-2011 Brewers notes: 126 pounds of fruit added to this beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with tight white head. The aroma is dried fruits along with a strong grainy note, making it like a tropical trail mix. The flavor is cookie-ish and grainy with a very subtle fruitiness. It has a light German-style hop bitterness.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
4oz pour at the brewery. Just tapped that day. Poued a clear yellow with light head. Smell of apricot. Taste is light crisp malty. Finishes with a tropical fruit tast. Just ok.
