Very aromatic and great coloring. No head at all. The flavoring was very bitter and prononced soy, no my cup of tea, but hey, they’ve been making it for years, so someone is buying it.

Dec 23, 2008 bottle from midway mart in denton, tx. poured a rich amber with a soapy off white head. aroma of raisins, dark fruits, and caramel. flavor of dark fruits, a cherry type tart, and alcohol. med body, low carb, a little dry. a decent brew, but strange.

Dec 22, 2008 2005 bottle from College Liquors in Grand Junction, CO. Pours a dark ruby color with a medium beige head. The aroma is very sour, vinous, light fruits. The taste is like a Flemish sour, fruity, some yeast, a sort of musty dryness, sour, but not prohibitively so. Sour like a red wine. Nice and interesting. Completely different than I expected.

Dec 22, 2008 05 Bottle. Pours red-brown with an aroma of malt, caramel, raisins, sugar, and depth. Not a lot of carbonation, but flavor is good: alcohol, bourbon/whiskey notes, raisiny sweetness, and fruit in the mix. An interesting brew.
