3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 27, 2012
Bouteille from Terres de Bières. Clear deep golden colour, large white head. Malty base, bitter-sweet character, good hoppy finish. Quite Czech in its overall character.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 SilkTork (4737) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - FEB 27, 2012
330ml bottle from Monoprix, Marseille. Decent pale lager. Chewy malt, and a spanking of hops. A pleasant drink served cool from the fridge. It tastes like a Czech lager because that’s what it is. There is an interesting story regarding the history of the Parisian "Gallia" beer brand, which this is supposed to replicate - though it is unlikely the original beer tasted like this.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 hawthorne00 (1440) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 21, 2012
Bottle. Gold with a fast-fading white head. Grainy aroma with some earth and spice. Quite dry despite balance leaning towards grainy malt. Mildly spicy bitter finish lingers. Decent hops, rather bland malt.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 hoju777 (46) - FRANCE - AUG 27, 2011
33 cl bottle from Monop.
Doesn’t really smell like anything, but at least it doesn’t smell bad. More flavor than the average Pilsner, but that’s not saying much. It’s ok I guess.

Eh porca puttana, un’altra truffetta: servita come di microbirrificio francese al Brewberry. Lager manco cattiva.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DeanF (1489) - Iqaluit, Nunavut, CANADA - OCT 16, 2010
Solid pilsener head, bright yellow body. Aroma heavy on cereals, some hops. Taste is a nice smooth hops flavour and a tart and dry finish. Very good in the way of pilseners.
