COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bottled pale lager intended as an historic copy of a Parisian beer brand from 1890 - contract brewed by Nymburk brewery in the Czech Republic.
Czech breweries are the only ones in Europe to respect the traditional brewing methods. Therefore, to match the original recipe of the Gallia 1890, it is now brewed in Czech Republic, in a brewery that respects the characteristics of the Gallia of the past.

Light in the mouth, smells good, refreshing, typical of a beer you want to have on a hot sunny day. Fine bubbles.

Very very citric taste, light color with almost no lasting foam. At 8€ in Hyatt Charles de Gaule it is absolutely not worth it. I can't see a potential good circumstance for this beer. Not a good one!

Mild grassy hop aroma, classic light malt base. Bit characterless but not bad. Taste is even simpler though, again not bad but just very straightforward. Light bitter, light malts, not much hop character left. It’s a very straightforward lager in the end. Apparently they plan to brew in Paris from 2015; but I better hope they also improve the recipe then. (33cl bottle from Bootlegger)

Huge, fluffy off-white head over clear coppery-golden beer. Extremely caramelly, even nearly fresh (weak) coffee nose, café noir cookies, going over in fresh, parsley aromatised malts; rainwater. Again caramel; weak tea flavoured with honey or caramelsyrup. Finish is definitely drier, hinting at noble hops, resulting in even some discreet bitternesss. Light body, creamy head, medium carbonation. Interesting as a concept, much less as a beer.

Bottled at Byn, Stockholm. Deep golden, rich firm head. Distint oily’ tea-like saaz aroma. Mid sweet withlight-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Gentle butter and bitter orange flavour. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a thin head. Aroma is grain and citrus. Fruity flavour, thin grainy malt with a long citrus bitterness

33cl bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Gold orange with lasting white head. Characterful yeasty aroma. Almost tart lemon in mouth, some sherbert. Tasty blond beer. Wow a lot more interesting than I was expecting. Maybe a bit too yeasty.

Not bad, nice colour and short head. Tastes of toasted cereal (Weetabix?) with medium body, and long hoppy finish.
