Old rating. Really bad, even for a cheap lager. Thin, wet grains, stale, weird acidic aftertaste. Guatemalan though.

bottle. Very pale gold and fizzy. grains and wet cardboard. Very light. Not even good by Latin American crappy pale lager standards.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s flat. Thanks to Leighton for this rarity. As Famosa. Light haze on this very pale gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and crisp. Very thin pale malts, trace of sweetness. Forensic amount of citrus and pine hop. Crisp dry finish. Fresh air beer!

Pours almost colorless - very pale yellow. Skunky nose. Starts with light grain and dry cider. Light bitterness. Watery, high carbonation, clean finish. Club soda-like.

Bottle share, thanks to Leighton. As ’Famosa’. Very pale yellow, still, clear, small foamy white head. Aroma is light lager malt, biscuit, a little yeasty. Body is medium, spritzy carbonation, a little foamy. Taste is light biscuit, ozone, no real bitterness. Just a little simple and insipid. But a Guatemala tick!

Thanks to Leightonian. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The nose is soft, grainy, papery, lemony rind, soap and rice paper. The taste is crisp, straw, grainy, white bread, pepper and paper with a dryish finish. Light, watery body and average carbonation. Doesn’t do very much for me. Basic stuff.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at New Beer in NYC. Pours completely clear, very pale yellow with a white cream head. The nose has some cabbage, cereal, hay. Medium sweet flavor with chips of paper, minimal bitterness, white bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and papery with crispy cereal, straw. A decent cheap lager.

(Gallo) As Famosa, 355 ml can from vipinvelp, thanks Werner! New country tick! Served into a glass tankard. Very pale yellow colour on the body, small white head that disappears striaght away, no lacing. Typical aroma of a lager, some malts and a bit of hay, not offensive though. Sweet taste, moderate malty, grass. Medium thin body, carbonation on the low side although it seems fizzy while pouring. Not bad actually, only a bit boring, but I wouldn’t mind drinking those in a hot day.

12oz can, haha Taste of Glory 2014 World Cup Special Edition! Pours a bubbly pale staw with a medium white fluffy head. Aroma of an overly sweet lager. Very light cheap lager, almost like water slight traces of yeast and malt. It’s not offensive by any means, I could chug these on a hot day, just not much flavor to speak of.
