COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clear golden lager beer with a characteristic body, fine bitternes and delicate aroma. Because of its full-bodied and balanced flavor it has become the preferred choice for those who enjoy a premium quality beer. This beer is sold in USA as Famosa

Despite of quality and taste, what makes a beer is also the athmophere it can produce. In such case Gallo beer is a great example of what a beer can do by itself... Great memories from Guate!!!

(Labeled as Famosa Lager). Pours clear piss-yellow color with a medium airy white head that diminishes extremely fast. Aroma of malt and adjuncts, especially rice. Not much more. Flavor is sweet-ish and watery. Very typical commercial lager. Not noble but not disgusting either. Light bodied but not as much as other swill. Fizzy carbonation. It holds its own against many typical chilean industrial pale lagers at half the price ($290 or US$0.50).

Sampled at an esbls tasting. From Rob. Hazy light golden. Tiny whute head. A sulfur aroma. The taste is Euro hops and they are light. Very light fruit and a late bitter bite. Not that bad but not that good, either,

Bottle at Minneapolis Beer Fest. Kind of skunky, metallic corn/bread nose and taste. Pretty much awful.

40 ounce bottle purchased at Food4Less in Woodland, CA. The aroma is metallic with corn and fusel alcohols. Lots of gnarly stuff here. Boiled vegetables. Just not so good. Extremely pale yellow body that is transparent. Quickly dissipating white head that is small. Looks more like a cider than a beer. Starts with incredibly awful, bitter fusel alcohols, before boiled vegetables take over in the middle. Finishes with a lightly sweetend corniness. This is some pretty awful shit.

Hmmm a beer from Guatemala, this has to be good right? Pours a clear golden color. Aroma is of Stale malts, a little sweetness, and some hops. Flavor is of malts, wine, bitters, and rotten fruit. Leaves a sour malt finish. It was all that I expected and more.

Pours clear light yellow with a frothy white head that disappeared after a few minutes. Aroma of grain and sweet malt. Somewhat sweet and bready. Minimal carbonation.

Some crappy swill that has a rather uncanny resemblance to Guatemalan water.
