A clear golden lager beer with a characteristic body, fine bitternes and delicate aroma. Because of its full-bodied and balanced flavor it has become the preferred choice for those who enjoy a premium quality beer. This beer is sold in USA as Famosa

Can: Poured a golden yellow straw color with white head. The aroma was grainy harvest. The taste was grain and malt. Drinking beer!

This beer was ok, my bottle was labled Famosa Lager Beer. IT had a smooth after taste, and set well, but other than that, just an average beer

From 35.5 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is chemical, slight malty. Flavour is watery malty with a mild spice note. Finish is watery, very bland.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Slightly hazy golden, with a white head. Tart malt aroma. Thin and watery with very unclean notes of....malt? Weird accents of blackcurrant. No hops. 200507

A big bomber of this. Yellow, clear and slightly skunky. Corny taste with little hops or malts. Slightly grassy finish.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2011 Let’s take a trip to Guatemala. This 12 oz twist off cap bottle has been layen around a while ~ date code is 1896. Smell is a little like cabbage related vegetables. Aroma is more clean once it is poured, more lemony yeast like. It looks quite bright yellow in my glass with some internal bubbling. No head, just a belt around the inside of the glass. Very good carbonation on the palate from front to back of throat. Taste is a little ungentle manlike, lacking manners. Sharp medium bitterness with the initial taste then that fades rapidly, it does not linger. Overall, this is not too bad but has some forward tastes. It is repeatable and almost session like. There are other good lagers out there with more manners and lower price. Carlsburg is much better than this for about the same price. Rolling Rock, Schmidt’s and Miller Highlife excel when tastes are compared.

Bottle... AWOL ’07... Clear light yellow lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. Honey and grain aroma. Mostly sweet flavor with a restrained hop snap. Medium-bodied with average carbonation. Lightly sweet finish with only a hint of peppery hop bitterness. I found the beer to be a pretty good example of a pretty mundane style. Much better than anticipated.

Bottle. Pale Lager, watery, bland, and not a lot of carbonation to note. Sweetish malts, with a little hop bitterness.

Blech...foul composty aroma. Cornish crap-like taste. But hey, when’s the next time I’m going to have a beer from Guatemala?

Bottled. Very bland with a strong astringent finish. I couldn’t help it but think that I was drinking straight-up alcohol. Next...
