1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
This really is quite pitiful. It pours just off clear with a hint of urine in both colour and aroma. The flavor is as weak as expected with subtlest notes of corn and hay. This is what I call a bad breath beer.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Straw yellow with a small white head. Nose is grainy with faint lemon, light corn and sweet malt. Taste is odd. A weird rubbing alcohol like taste on top of corn syrup, cereal, light lemon and straw. Body is not as light as expected, not is the carbonation too extreme. Finish is just as bad as the taste when it comes too the rubbing alcohol like flavor. Light straw, more grains, hint of lemon and corn syrup.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Corn and bitters on the nose. Light yellow color with a stubborn, puffy white styrofoam head. Thin and musty in the hop department, with an abscence of malts that tilts the beer precariously toward the "skunk" element. Suprisingly clean on the finish, however.

Carrots, bell pepper, grass, lemon poppyseed muffins and a touch of meztizo underpants...or perhaps Iím mistaken...? This is obviously CORN...!!! Itís horrible and should therefore be properly served in a dimpled mug, apparently!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: APR 19, 2008 Tried this wagain recently as Famosa and gave it the exact same rating. Very pale yellow body with a white head. The carbonation has some very small bubbles. The aroma is grasswith some carrots and bell peppers. The taste is a combination of lemon poppyseed muffins and bell peppers. The sweetness is strange in this one, but makes it unique. The mouthfeel is a little sticky for the style.

It seems to me that Guatemalans probably think this is their best beer. I donít think so. Its too bitter for its lightness. Stick to Moza.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale yellow ale. It has an aroma derived from corn. Taste is great. The better of Central American beers. Itís the best in Guatemala, although Dorada is right up there as well. Recommend to anyone, because I will have again and again!

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
12 oz bottle, from Half Time in Poughkeepsie. Very, very pale straw/urine color, huge slowly diminishing head with a touch of lacing...slightly skunked flavor wins out over the brown glass and almost obliterates a pleasant honey-corn undertone...sugary-sweet body reminiscent of sugar cubes dissolved in tepid water with some old very dried-up mild herbs dropped in...insipid, watery finish with a hint of metal. The worst of the three S. American wonders in my recent tasting.
