Very faint, somewhat figgy aroma. Mildly tart, malty beer. Hopping kicks in mild and late. Pale gold, quickly-dissapating white head. Kinda cool logo and label. Middle-of-the-road 3rd world fare.

More bittered than most American Standards. Donít like at all. Out of the 15 lagers Iíve tasted today, this comes in about last.

Would definitley drink it over water if the source was in question. Canít think of many other reasons to ... unless I was stranded in the mountains. That could be refreshing.

Bottle. A light clear yellow. The aroma is a little sour, a touch of skunk, a bit sweet. It almost stings on the first sip but settles into an all too familiar bad lager taste.

Well, if you canít drink the water in Central America, this will suffice. If youíre really thirsty

Smells of corn, light yellow, fluffy head. Light tasting, some grassiness, metalic aftertaste. Ho hum. Washes the nachos down well though!

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Strong skunky aroma and flavor, with both sharp sweetness and astringent bitterness, leaving a finish that is somewhat acidic, artificial, and sickening. Plain lager appearance. Another in the long list of awful beers Iíve tried in the name of geographic representation.

I haven’t many beers that looked like this one. Great white head, small bubbles but extremely pale in color. Aroma of skunky lager. Sweet but with bits of hop finish (faint but still). Better than I expected.

Okay, youíre a brewer, youíve put your lifeís work into a few beers that you will attempt to sell. Your pocketbook and the continued existence of your brewery hinge largely on how your beer is perceived by the public, which is dependent in no small part on the label and the bottle. "Letís see...we need our beer to look cool. People need to look at the label and want to drink it. Oh, I know, Iíll put a picture of a rooster on it. Yeah, people will really buy it." I gave it a 4 in appearance just because the rooster gave me something to talk about here. For the rest of the beer, see my ratings of Brahma Chopp, Pilsener of El Salvador, Antartica Pilsen, and Zambezi.
