COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clear golden lager beer with a characteristic body, fine bitternes and delicate aroma. Because of its full-bodied and balanced flavor it has become the preferred choice for those who enjoy a premium quality beer. This beer is sold in USA as Famosa

White head. Have a small aroma of citrus. The beer has not much taste at all. Realy bad beer.

07.10.04 Can (Gallo). Got a couple of cans of this stuff from my boss to try. He wasn’t totally sure how they had come into his possession. I figured, ’what the hell, it’s Guatemalan.’ Strikingly clear and pale yellow; huge fluffy, white head that vaporizes almost instantly. Amazingly, I detect no skunk. Aromas are mostly unpleasant and insist on permeating the ambience. Somewhat of a hay smell. Flavor is disturbingly cardboardy sweet followed by a hop bite as though I just bit into some grass. Not as bad as I expected, but still bad. Horrible, lingering aftertaste of something or other - wait, is that the taste of the water in canned green beans?

Shockingly pale, small compact head that utterly fades. Smells frankly horrible, a touch of crap in the note. Flavor a tiny bit better, as it is almost non-existant. A really bad beer.

Looks like urine. Small head. Aroma from yeast and pear cider. Flavor is like pear cider mixed with water. Really bad.

<->Bottled<i/> Extremely pale. Small and fizzy head. A cardboard aroma with notes of boiled vegetables. Extremely thin vegetable-flavour with maybe some bitterness.

The palest beer I ever seen. Very paly yellow with green notes. Small fizzy white head. Green vegetables and grass in aroma. Malty sweet flavour with grass and burnt paper. Slightly grassy and sour finish. Watery texture.

Very pale. Creamy but low head. Slight grassy aroma. Thin and fizzy. Flavour is glue and a tiny little piece of hops.

Bottled. Very pale yellow. Cottony foam head. Grassy aroma, somewhat sourish with an undertone of green apples. Decent malt sweetness with a light bitter finish. A little salty in the finish, with shrimp notes.

Very, very pale yellow, white head. Aroma from vegetables and pear cider. Flavor brings nothing. Maybe some hops in the finish but I was bored long before then.

My first beer from Guatemala, and I am not impressed, but I will hold back on the crap lager speech this time. I enjoy premium quality beer and this is not my choice. The aroma has kind of a burnt paper smell to it, and the taste is chalky, but crisp and off kilter, and watery.
