3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale yellow ale. It has an aroma derived from corn. Taste is great. The better of Central American beers. Itís the best in Guatemala, although Dorada is right up there as well. Recommend to anyone, because I will have again and again!

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle 12oz. Clear amber color with small white head. Small unpleasent aroma. Light body. Weak flavor with even weaker finish. Not a brew I will have again.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
12 oz bottle, from Half Time in Poughkeepsie. Very, very pale straw/urine color, huge slowly diminishing head with a touch of lacing...slightly skunked flavor wins out over the brown glass and almost obliterates a pleasant honey-corn undertone...sugary-sweet body reminiscent of sugar cubes dissolved in tepid water with some old very dried-up mild herbs dropped in...insipid, watery finish with a hint of metal. The worst of the three S. American wonders in my recent tasting.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
(bottle) Poured pale yellow. Corn, corn, corn. Slightly bitter and unpleasant aftertaste. The Budweiser of Guatemala, called Gallo. Cool t-shirts.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very pale yellow with only minor activity and the standard white soap-sudsy head. Starchy aroma. Relatively smooth flavor, obviously based in corny-malt flavors, and a gentile-enough bitter finish. Not nearly as bad as Iíd expected.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Iíve had much worse South American brews, its one of the better ones Iíve tried so far.. Way more hoppiness than others, donít get me started on Salvadoran beers! A good thirst quencher, will buy again at my local Cardenas market, but Iíll wait until its a hot California again!

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very pale yellow pour. Big white head due to the carbonation. Aroma is a slight hint of sweet corn. It is very light in flavor. Maybe a hint of corn and rice as well. It is very light though and very drinkable. Iíll give this one a couple of points for the chicken on the bottle.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
extremely pale, crystal clear color, big carbonation, adequate, but quick to slim down, bone-white head.
typical adjunct lager-y aroma, a bit corny, not unpleasant, but nothing to thrill the soul, either.
Taste: "eh, itís beer", ....empty, light, hollow-bodied, ...but, oh, so drinkable!
if you yearn for a thirst-quencher, a palate-lightener, an easy-drinking beverage...this is yours, own it, emrace it, love it...just as good as PBR, a step above High Life...Guatemala, you got it going on!

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Very pale yellow color with a fizzy head. This one was pretty skunky. Nothing really redeeming about it except an attempt at including hops at the end.
