A clear golden lager beer with a characteristic body, fine bitternes and delicate aroma. Because of its full-bodied and balanced flavor it has become the preferred choice for those who enjoy a premium quality beer. This beer is sold in USA as Famosa

Very pale yellow with some hopcitric and thiol aromas. The taste was watery, with slight hop and ricey favor hints, along with a thiol element. Forgettable in every way.

Bottle. Poured a clear pale golden with a quickly-receding white head. Nose was of grains, corn, and other sweet malts. Nothing offensive here, but weak and unexciting. Corn, veggie mush, light floral, and faint rubbing alcohol in the flavor. Palate was grainy with sour veggie highlights and a corn/grain finish. Watery. This wasn’t completely awful, but not an experience that I care to revisit.

There is an aroma of grain to Famosa. The color is light pale yellow with a rapidly disappearing white head that is almost nonexisten upon the pour. Flavor is weak and grainy with a poor finish on the palate.

Can: Pale yellow, highly carbonated with a flaky thin head. No distinct aroma and the side-flavour is of skunk, chemical and metal. And it gets worse with every sip.

A very pale yellow coloured beer pours out of the can with a modest white fizzy head. The nose is slightly fruity with just a hint of grassy hops. The body is fizzy and actually has a light hint of bitterness towards the finish. An okay beer from Guatemala.

Cockiest beer ever. Horriblest beer ever. 2 of us fought one 12 oz. down. Famosa por nunca. Guatemala, please stop I beg of you. Anything that says Cerveza = Crap beer. -Joe Saia

Wateriest beer ever. Smells like adjunctyness. The only redeeming quality of this beer is the awesome rooster on the label.

This really is quite pitiful. It pours just off clear with a hint of urine in both colour and aroma. The flavor is as weak as expected with subtlest notes of corn and hay. This is what I call a bad breath beer.

Bottle. Straw yellow with a small white head. Nose is grainy with faint lemon, light corn and sweet malt. Taste is odd. A weird rubbing alcohol like taste on top of corn syrup, cereal, light lemon and straw. Body is not as light as expected, not is the carbonation too extreme. Finish is just as bad as the taste when it comes too the rubbing alcohol like flavor. Light straw, more grains, hint of lemon and corn syrup.

Corn and bitters on the nose. Light yellow color with a stubborn, puffy white styrofoam head. Thin and musty in the hop department, with an abscence of malts that tilts the beer precariously toward the "skunk" element. Suprisingly clean on the finish, however.
