1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 RichJ7 (1175) - Cullman, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Labeled as Famosa. Pale yellow in color. Sweet aroma of malt and corn. Nothing to recommend this one whatsoever. Cheap imported knock off of an American pale lager that wasn’t that great to begin with.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head. Smells quite a bit like corn, not shockingly. Fairly bland and unoffensive nose, though. Mostly just sweet with a bit of cereal. Flavor is sweet with corn, a touch of bread, a little bit of apple, maybe some yeast. No hop flavor or bitterness. Easy to slam on a hot day.

Ugh, lots of corn notes right off the bat. Too sweet and cloying. Unbalanced. Very bland flavors and aromas, with a boring, one-dimensional malt presence. Hop bitterness was like acrid herbs. Couldn’t finish the bottle.

Grains and grass in aroma. The flavor is grains and apples. The appearance and flavor leaned this too close to a cider, not a bad thing but not good for a non-complex lager.
4.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 Ribman (12) - Colorado, USA - APR 19, 2012
Had this, and a number of its compatriots, after taking a chicken bus the Guatemalan coast. Had it with a dinner of rice, chicken, and black beans in a ramshackle hotel. It was cold and delicious.

Watery, bitter, blond without head. Just a lager like you find elsewhere in these countries
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Syzzer (307) - Oregon, USA - MAR 22, 2012
UPDATED: APR 5, 2012 This is a light plain lager with frothy white head that lingers. Not much to this one. Straw colored. Smells slightly of sour grain.

Oh....where to start?
Iv’e never seen anything with less colour than this that wasn’t tap-water or a urine sample.
The smell is bad...skunk in a grain sack.
The taste manages to be only slightly better....incredibly watery..
If it floated up alongside my life raft......ok....otherwise......pass.

Total Wine & More, Chantilly 12oz ($1.49): Pours a really pale yellow with very little head. Aroma is nearly non-existent. Hops are nearly non-existent. However, this is an easy drinking beer without any discernible faults aside of its lack of flavour.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Onslow (712) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Pour from a big bottle. Extra pale clear yellow brew with white head. Aroma of skun, ajunk, lemon zest. Taste is adjunct with a little grass and lemon in the finish. Vegetal notes at the end of the swallow. Paper thin palate.
