Bay Ale is a copper coloured, traditional ale with malt and hop aromas and a smooth and well-balanced flavour.
Hoppy, yet malt-forward this ale strikes a great balance. Using Northern Brewer, Bobek and Willamette hops alongside a strong malt backbone this beer is both for savoring and thirst-quenching, depending on your mood.
Speciality Malts - Brown, Crystal & Munich
Hops (33 IBU) - Northern Brewer, Bobek and Willamette(Note: Change of Hop from Perle to Northern Brewer)

Sample at Oslo in Galway. This beer pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt and grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. Slightly above average overall.

500ml bottle - thanks Mari and Marduk!
Just past its BB. Gusher, wormed for ages. Slightly latvian aroma. Bland malts. Bland taste too. Just some slightly sweet malts. Waste of water. Anna’s glass was more lactic and more harshly bitter. My glass was sharper, shards all over the floor, in fact.

500ml bottle (thanks Maili). GUSHER!!!! Murky amber color. Medium size, yellow head, stays. Dirty cloth, husky, grainy, milky notes in aroma. Malty, husky, sweet, some fruitiness behind all that acidic sour crisp infection. Infected beer. Must drink again.

Keg at Against The Grain, Dublin. It pours a clean golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma is candy sugar, almonds, grassy hops and earth. Taste is sweet-bitter up front with a little hoppy bitter kick. Quite dry in the finish. Notes of candy sugar, pine needles, grass and dried hops. Body is medium with lively carbonation. Overall, ok

Pours a really dark copper brown color with a small white head. Nose of roasted malts and caramel, some sort of fruit also. Medium body. Sweet taste, with some lingering bitterness on the finish. Not bad!

Bottle from the Fresh Market in Dublin, Ireland. Pours a rich amber with an off-white head and no lacing to speak of. Nose of malts and floral hops. Medium body. Lively carbonation and mouth feel. Flavor shows some fruit, and nice floral and citrus hops. Nice drinking

Bottle at Craig’s. It pours hazy deep red with minimal beige head. The nose is soft, fruity, jammy, red berry and sticky fruit syrup. The taste is sweet, red berry, jammy, light toast, grain and mild bitterness with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty drying. No depth. Very so-so.
