Milk Chocolate Stout
Decadent and complex while remaining wholly refreshing and drinkable. This Stout is brewed with Milk Sugars and Chocolate to give rich flavours and body that goes down smooth.
Taste of Chocolate and smooth mouthfeel, due to the additions of Dark Chocolate and Milk Sugars (Lactose) respectively. While dark, rich and decadent this beer finds balance and subtlety in its lightness and drinkability. Great for matching with sweeter dishes and intense desserts.
Speciality Malts - Oats, Munich, Chocolate, Crystal, Roast Barley
Hops (32 IBU) - Magnum, Cascade

The beer starts smooth and creamy. Roasted chocolate in the mainpart, slightly toffee-sweet. The aftertaste is smooth, chocolate with hints of espresso, nicely smooth roasted. In the last end there is a nice bitterness, that harmonises ideal with the rest of the roasted chocolate-flavour.
Very nice Sweet Stout! --> 13/13/14/14

Was expecting something to the effect of Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, but this isn’t so ineffectual. This has a lovely serious bite to it. Thick pour into the pint glass, HUGE tan head that took awhile to dissipate, little to no lacing on the glass. Big chocolate and coffee aroma, some bitter hop resin. Bitter on the tongue like burnt coffee, then the sweetness of the chocolate and the smoothness of the milk sugars come through and add to the finish to make a fantastic beer.

Traditional milk stout with chocolate hints. Slightly peculiar taste but very enjoyable.

Deepdark stout with dark tan head that quickly fades. Aromas of burnt roasting, coffee anc chocolate. Surprisingly light and carbonated on palate. A lovely sweet light stout and easy drinking. I’d drink this again. From 500ml bottle in The Wine Centre Kilkenny.

Draught at ICBF ’13. Pours a dark brown with a tan foamy head. Aroma is a lovely blend of dark chocolate, coffee and cream. Taste is medium chocolatey sweetness with a light coffee and roasted barley bitterness. Creamy smooth and full chocolatey finish. Delicious first taste of Galway Bay.

Pours deep black. Not much head. Light smoke, chocolate nose. Chocolate, smoky, coffee liquorice taste. Medium carbonation. Not that sweet and rounded with a nice bitterness. Bit too light bodied but nice enough stout

Keg at Salt House, Galway. Poured dark with thin tan head - which fizzled out quickly. Chocolate and coffee notes. Very good overall

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2013 Bottle from Drinkstore, Dublin [131213]
Pitch black, big frothy dark tan head, some lacing. Aroma of soft dark malts, some sweet dark chocolate, soft roast. Taste of roasted malts, yeasty, quite rich dark malts, dab of coffee, some soft bitter hop in there, slightly earthy. Medium carb (maybe a bit over carbonated) and body, smooth. Finish - getting more chocolate here, like dry cocoa, dark malts. Overall - Moreish stuff, drank the bottle in no time. I prefer this to the keg beer. 3.6 > 3.7

Keg @ Brew Dock, Dublin [200913] 7/4/7/3/15
Very dark brown, tan bubbly head, good lacing
Aroma of roasted malts, slightly smoky, touch burnt, soft dark malts
Taste of dark roasted malts, very soft burnt notes, some dark soft palin chocolate, milk sugars, dark sugars, i’m getting into this, good stuff
Palate - Medium carb, medium thin body, too fizzy for a stout, sweet dark malts with slight burnt toasted notes. Finish as mian flavour, soft bitter, dark powedery chocolate, not keen on the fizz but a swirl helps sort it out
Overall - I’d prefer this on cask as the fizz loses the underlying smoothness. Did like this one
