DIPA with massive malt backbone, hopped with Galena, Chinook, Pacific Jade and Simcoe in the kettle, and two dry hop additions to boot! Massive pine-wood aromas up front with a hint of exotic spice in the background. Big bitterness of 132 IBU’s provides a soft, lingering bite, balanced by the 8.5% ABV.

Have had a few bottles of this at home over the past few months. Fruity aroma. Dark orange opaque. Flavour intense, complex citrus, fruit with a nice lingering bitterness. You don?t really taste the alcohol considering abv. Really great beer and my favourite Irish DIPA at the moment.

[7943-20151120] 500mL bottle. Fragrant orange syrup (almost to the point of concentrated urine) aroma. Hazy, dark amber orange body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Syrupy harsh orange citrus peel and pithy earth flavour. Medium-full body is quite bold and boozy. Interesting and thick. (8/3/7/4-/15) 3.7

Probably the best beer I’ve ever tried. Great aroma, taste, hoppiness. The only thing I miss about Ireland. I wish it was popular worldwide.

Pours dark orange with one finder of head. Aroma is a burst of hops with malt sweetness. Grapefruit, kiwi and mango. The simcoe is strong with this one. Tastes of a lot of bitterness up front, that segways into a nice fruit punch. The caramel sweetness of the malt really helps balance the bitterness into fruit flavours. A tasty bitter bomb just went off i my mouth, but its was thoroughly enjoyable. Galway Bays best beer by far.

(Galway Bay Of Foam and Fury) Bottle 500 ml at home, received from Beersiveknown, thanks Steve! Served into a shaker, ABV 8.5% Deep orange colour on a clear body, with a little bit of activity in it. One full finger of white, thick head, with average retention. Aroma has lots of tropical fruits, lyche, resin, hops. Taste follows, plenty of hops and tropical fruits, alcohol present with a burn too, solid malty backbone, pine on the finish. Medium body, good carbonation. Very good.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2015 Bottle thanks to Steve (Beersiveknown), cheers! Aroma: Mango, grapefruit, orange, mandarins, very intensive and fruity. Appearance: Golden cloudy color, head stiff, dense, durable, nice lacing - perfect. Taste: Quite dry (maltiness dominated by hoppiness but present - bit caramelly), full of fruity tastes, mix of mango, citruses, some herbs, spruce, strong bitterness (grapefruit and spruce), tropical fruit. Palate: Dense consistency, light warming alcohol foundation, body is full, soft carbonation, finish is bitter and semi-dry. I don’t really like the style but this one... squeezed nearly all that the style has to offer.

Keg. Pours hazy amber/orange with white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, lemon sherbet and pine. Taste is fantastic - big bitter resinous pine balanced well by sweeter orange/grapefruit notes with some caramel. Great on the palate too. Great brewery.

Craft Pimlico. The Italian/Irish event. Keg. With Jackie and Simon. Hazy deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Smooth caramel malts. Light creamy sweetness. Good marmalade hops, with hop spice and resinous pine. Tropical fruits underneath. Spicy hop finish. Sweet and spicy DIPA. Nice.
