DIPA with massive malt backbone, hopped with Galena, Chinook, Pacific Jade and Simcoe in the kettle, and two dry hop additions to boot! Massive pine-wood aromas up front with a hint of exotic spice in the background. Big bitterness of 132 IBU’s provides a soft, lingering bite, balanced by the 8.5% ABV.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention 2015. Thanks! Pours unclear, dark gold with a foamy white head. The nose is heavy with minerals and rindy orange. Bitter and minerally flavor, lightly sweet, with oppressive rind notes, some oily pine, grainy bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Resinous finish with more orange rind. OK. Perhaps not as fresh as it could be.

One of the best Imperial IPAs I have had outside of America. IT is a deep amber colour, lasting head. Huge complex aroma of exotic fruit (blood orange). Very malty backed by a massive hop infusion. This is extremely well balanced, very palatable and probably the best beer you can buy in Ireland.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge convention, 24/01/2015. Thanks to BeersIveKnown for this one. Quite a bit of hype about this beer. Hazed golden orange coloured pour with a nice looking head. Aropma is sharp lemon citrus, dirty hop. Flavour is composed of tart blood orange, resin, orange oil, dank hop. Palate is semi sweet, resinous sticky on the tongue, moderate carbonation. A little dirty / rought round the edges.

Draft pour. The beer is a bright gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has big tropical fruits with lots of orange character. The taste is fruity as well with a medium bitterness. Big body and medium carbonation.

Aroma: pine and white fruits (like gooseberries). Appearance: hazy amber color, no head. Taste: high bitterness (pine and resin), some citrus notes, semi-dry, warming alcohol. Palate: full body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Quite good DIPA, nice pine bitterness.

On tap at The Black Sheep, pours a clear amber with a large off-white head. Nose brings a big caramel malt backbone, with lots of citrus and resinous hops. Flavour is impeccably balanced, with loads of resinous hops and just enough caramel malt. It’s a big meaty body, but also blasts hops through to perfection. Wonderfully crafted. Excellent stuff.

Bottle thanks to Beer’O’Clock Show Steve; shared at Ale House bottle share. Nice fruity aroma. Loads of big prominent hop flavours. Loads of pine and pilth. Aroma and taste is oranges and clementines. Good dryness. Unfined and hazy. Superb! Fantastic aroma.

Very complex flavours, citrus fruit in a big way! Blood orange, a hint of pine and a refreshingly bitter finish!

What a lovely surprise! The aroma hints at fruitiness and the taste delivers! It’s a nice balance of bitterness turning into fruitiness of canned pineapple and a hint of cloudberry. I want to have kids with this beer!
