DIPA with massive malt backbone, hopped with Galena, Chinook, Pacific Jade and Simcoe in the kettle, and two dry hop additions to boot! Massive pine-wood aromas up front with a hint of exotic spice in the background. Big bitterness of 132 IBU’s provides a soft, lingering bite, balanced by the 8.5% ABV.

This is a good Imperial India Pale Ale. Best Irish beer ever tasted. Taste grass, good, grapefuit, peach... Excellent balance and enjoyable bitter end!

Bottle share at Cotteridge Wines. Thanks to Beersiveknown for this BIG want. Murky dark orange, lightly sparkling, bubbly white head. Aroma has lots of grapefruit with pine and toffee accompaniments. Body is medium, soft carbonation, pretty smooth. Taste is sweet and caramelly, peach, marmalade, medium bitterness, a little grassy in the finish. Decent, but a bit gloopy for the style. Was expecting a little more, but chuffed to get a hold of it anyway.

24th Jan 2015: shared bottle at the Cotteridge Wine meet, thanks Steve for bringing so many beers across the Irish Sea for us to taste. Hazy amber body with a full, lively white head. The nose and taste were very orangey in nature, as Tom said at the time ’marmalade on toast’, he wasn’t far wrong in that basic statement. Although fairly sweet it did calm down and finished with a mild hop bitter feel to the flavouring. Decent and different.

Bottled, sample at The Cotteridge Convention, many thanks to Beersiveknown for this one. Hazy amber with white head. This was pretty special I though, rich jammy tropical fruit notes, marmalade and bitterness, full on the palate. Loved it.

Bottle slpit at the Cotteridge Convention, thanks to Steve (BIK), 24/01/14. Lightly hazed orange amber with a moderately appointed off white covering. Nose is pine, earthy hops, candied fruit peel, passionfruit, mandarin, citric sherbets. Taste drops a little for me when contrasted with the nose, caramel malt, touch of pine needle, citric sherbet strokes, orange pith, light tropiciana, mineral wash. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a dose of hop bitterness. Decent easy drinking DIPA but no game changer.

Bottle at Cotteridge Tasting, Saturday 24th January 2015 Hazy light amber with slim wispy head. Thick in mouth, a little syrupy but hugely hoppy. Really zappy hops, soft in mouth, warmth from alcohol. Very good. Crikey two Irish corkers, btw big thanks to Beersiveknown for all of the Irish beers. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
