Commercial Description:
This is an exciting new style of beer that we call Irish Pale Ale. This delicious beer is pale in colour, has a full well balanced hop flavour and aroma, a good foamy head, a carbonation level similar to standard lagers. Now you can, of course, make it as complicated as you like by adding various chemicals and preservatives to the beer so that it ferments and matures faster, has a longer shelf life and is cheaper to produce. However, as a small independent craft brewery, we believe in using traditional techniques and think that only the four basic ingredients of beer should be used to produce this wonderful, thirst quenching, “magic potion”. All we want to do is produce a pure and natural beer for the Galway market. Nothing more.

Cask, third pint at GBBF 08. Golden body colour topped by a ring of bubbles. Light floral aroma. Flavour with notes of hop resin. Dry palate (05.08.2008).

A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF.
Pale gold with a thin white film. Slight hops, some herbal notes and hints of grain. A hit of sweetness in the finish is instantly kicked out of the way by some old dusky hops. A bit low on character but very drinkable.

Cask conditioned - gravity dospense - GBBF 2008. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has hops in the nose but with an unexpected sweetness. The taste is fairly hoppy with a sweet perfumed mouthfeel. Decent enough but I hoped for more.

Cask at GBBF ... Pale golden yellow ... light fruity hop ... little malts ... light easy uninspired fruity hop ...

Cask at the GBBF 2008, gravity dispense. Yellow colour, minimal head. Moderate aroma with hints of honey and flowery hops. Reasonably hoppy flavour, hints of citrus, "dusty" hops in the finish. OK, but not really that impressive. Nice hoppy aftertaste though.
