COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting new style of beer that we call Irish Pale Ale. This delicious beer is pale in colour, has a full well balanced hop flavour and aroma, a good foamy head, a carbonation level similar to standard lagers. Now you can, of course, make it as complicated as you like by adding various chemicals and preservatives to the beer so that it ferments and matures faster, has a longer shelf life and is cheaper to produce. However, as a small independent craft brewery, we believe in using traditional techniques and think that only the four basic ingredients of beer should be used to produce this wonderful, thirst quenching, “magic potion”. All we want to do is produce a pure and natural beer for the Galway market. Nothing more.

Clear mid amber well carbonated beer with thin white head. Fairly buttery nose, butter and toffee in the body with some balancing bitterness but little in the way of hop character. Disappointing

This is a nice American-style pale ale. Crisp and clear with a nice hop and malt balance. Tried to pick this up in Salthill. I got to the third waitress before I found someone who actually knew that when I was asking for a "Galway Hooker," that I was actually looking for a beer.

Bottle (500ml) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a clear deep gold with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Nice aroma, a good amount of UK hops, some citrus fruit and caramel malt. Flavour of UK hops, a bit resiny, also earthy and sweet along with a decent bitter finish. Average bodied. Nothing amazing but better then expected, I’d gladly drink many of these in Ireland.
