COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting new style of beer that we call Irish Pale Ale. This delicious beer is pale in colour, has a full well balanced hop flavour and aroma, a good foamy head, a carbonation level similar to standard lagers. Now you can, of course, make it as complicated as you like by adding various chemicals and preservatives to the beer so that it ferments and matures faster, has a longer shelf life and is cheaper to produce. However, as a small independent craft brewery, we believe in using traditional techniques and think that only the four basic ingredients of beer should be used to produce this wonderful, thirst quenching, “magic potion”. All we want to do is produce a pure and natural beer for the Galway market. Nothing more.

Bottle (500ml) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a clear deep gold with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Nice aroma, a good amount of UK hops, some citrus fruit and caramel malt. Flavour of UK hops, a bit resiny, also earthy and sweet along with a decent bitter finish. Average bodied. Nothing amazing but better then expected, I’d gladly drink many of these in Ireland.

500ml bottle courtesy of garthicus shared with blankboy. Light amber with a smallish white fizzy head. Simple light grain and fairly pungent grassy/herbal aroma. Taste follows - slightly papery, surprisingly bitter, if a bit generic .... average body, sharply carbonated, fairly long pungent grassy finish. Nice - on a hot day, +.3!!!

Excellent Irish Pale Ale . Quite new to the market but already a great success in Ireland . Tangy bitterness and understated biscuity flavours which perfectly compliment the floral aroma and citrusy, dry finish

Draft @ Bull and Castle, Dublin.

Clear copper look with a dense light tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, nice malt and good pine and grapefruits. Medium-bodied; Dry, flavourful and just what Ireland needs more of. Aftertaste shows grapefruits, dry hops and a touch of relatively strong alcohol. Overall, awesome to try, a nice treat indeed! I sampled this pint on draught at the Bull & Castle in Central Dublin, Republic of Ireland on 20-February-2009.

On tap at Porterhouse Covent Garden. Clear gold thick white head. Its an earthy pale ale. Ok malts some hop on finish. Served cold on tap. Bit bland but utterly drinkable. Ok beer. Reminds me a bit of SNPA.. Does what it says on the tin.

Golden/dull bronze colour. Seems fairly richly hopped, with English hops so really as fun. Has a mostly earthy character in abundance but not much else. Decently made but boring concept.

Draught at Bull and Castle Dublin. Golden with a full white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts. Smooth texture with little hops for an IPA. Finish is light and smooth, not bitter.

On tap at Porterhouse in Dublin, Ireland, although I saw it on tap at a few other places over the course of the week. Pretty standard APA, which surprised me, as it was from Ireland. Nice hops, not too bitter. Could’ve maybe used a little more malt flavor/texture, but it wasn’t bad.
