COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting new style of beer that we call Irish Pale Ale. This delicious beer is pale in colour, has a full well balanced hop flavour and aroma, a good foamy head, a carbonation level similar to standard lagers. Now you can, of course, make it as complicated as you like by adding various chemicals and preservatives to the beer so that it ferments and matures faster, has a longer shelf life and is cheaper to produce. However, as a small independent craft brewery, we believe in using traditional techniques and think that only the four basic ingredients of beer should be used to produce this wonderful, thirst quenching, “magic potion”. All we want to do is produce a pure and natural beer for the Galway market. Nothing more.

500ml bottle (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
Pleasant sweet red berry hoppy aroma. Some Doppio Malto butteriness too. Slightly sticky palate, OK carbonation. Tastes and feels very dead, but it does have a nice full grainy roast. Some caramel, some huskiness. Resiny hop finish, dry and drying. But they’re not full hops, it’s very extracty. Sub-par for an ale. Commercial description is bullshit - adding preservatives so that it ferments quicker!?!?!?

Gyllengul öl med vitt skum. Gräsig beska, och viss maltsötma i doften. Samma i smaken tillsammans med en antydan av smörkola.

Available on draft at the bierhaus. Fine example of an Irish pale ale. Not overly hoppy, mild mid strength.

Marketed as beer of the year for 2007 & 2009, I found this to be the worst selection I made. Pale orange/yellow with a grainy head. Aroma was pretty hoppy with citrus and hay. Body was extremely light. Dry malt, bread, and more grass flavors. Finish was bitter and not very pleasant.

Bottle. Pours golden with a small off-white head.Aroma of malt, grains , butterscotch, bread, biscuits and fruitiness. Flavor is sweet and malty with some popcorn, grains, crusts and bread. Medium to thin body, average carbonation.

Bottle. It’s a clear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma has the typical English maltyness, bready and lightly crackery, with some light citrusy and grassy hops. Some toffee hints in the flavor, with bready, crackery hints and some bitterness. Medium to thin on the palate, soft carbonation. Some bitterness in the finish. A boring one indeed, too much on the toffee and bread side for me, but at least it drinks easily. 130510
