Hazy golden with a frothy head and nice lacing. Aroma is a slight citrus hay funk. Flavor is a nice dry funk with a bit of sourness. Light and bitter. A slight grainy note at the end. this is really good.

Nice Belgian yeastiness on the nose. Pours golden with little head but it leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Has nice subtle spice notes on the tongue. It has a somewhat dry finish. This is a nice start to a farmhouse ale.

On tap at The Gamble Mill. Nice yeasty nose, with a bit of sulfur, honey, and orange blossom. Light funk. Very nice nose. Rich deep golden clear with light haze, topped with white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Nice sweet malt/wheat flavor, with honey, yeast, and light bubblegum and citrus. Very little bitterness, finishing fruity and sweet followed by a dry after. Well done.

Sample at brewpub. Slightly hazy golden yellow, fizzy white head. Pepper nose, mild citrus, lemon and some bread. Semi-dry, slightly bready with citrus, lemon, pepper, and coriander. Very, very solid. Wish it was a bit dryer, but still very solid.

On tap at the brewpub. Sadly, this was a bit amiss for the style, lacking a depth of body, a truly Saison yeast profile, and flavor character. Sweet, fruity esters that speak slightly of sickly yeast. The body was really thin on this one and didn’t hold a good toothy pilsner malt texture for me. The yeast character didn’t match my expectations and there was some astringency in the finish. Unfortunately, underwhelming.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2011 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark yellow-gold color with a small beige head. The aroma was drysih and spicy with notes of pepper, flowers and must. The flavor was dryish and floral with light vague spices and a touch of must. The finish was short, dry and a bit spicy. Medium body. Ok.
