COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Often called a Victorian secret, Bellefonte PA was founded in 1795. Our raspberry wheat is brewed with a combination of wheat and barley, fermented with our house yeast and finished off with pureed raspberries.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark salmon color with a medium sized white head that left some lacing. The aroma was tart berries and a touch of sugar. The flavor was dryish and nutty with tart raspberries and light bread. The finish was long and dryish with nut, bread and berries lingering. Medium body. Solid.

Draft. Pours clear copper with thin, fizzy white head; good retention and some lacing. Aroma is raspberries, cookie malt, yeast, and wheat. Flavor is caramel and cookie malts, light fruit esters, and light grassy hops; dry, raspberry finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

Tap. Pours clear amber with ruby notes and a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is raspberry, spicy wheat malt and citrus notes. Flavor is malt forward with moderate raspberry character, light bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

Sampled on tap at Zeno’s. Milky raspberry nose with light grain sweetness. Very light in the nose. Light copper-amber clear with thin head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with carbonic and fruity acidity, nice raspberry flavor and a good bit of bitterness. Finish is bitter with mild fruit taste and grain astringency.
