Draught somewhere in Plzen (I forgot the place). Nice head. Brownish orange colour. Easy to drink but still has more taste than the more common filtered lager. This is OK, but not great.

Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Aroma is malt, pine and fruity notes. Flavour is malt, pine, grass and fruity notes.

Keg at the Restaurace over the road from JZP on Slavikova. Pours Hazy golden with a White head. Very appealing. Nice pilsner. Not powerful in any direction but a marked improvement on the standard Svetle I reckon. Nice to see it in my local.

Yup, it’s good. It’s a perfect "session" (god I hate that term) beer. Go for it.

On tap at Restaurant po Juliskou. Pours golden cloudy color with decent white head. Aroma is barely any - some malt I guess. Taste is malt and hops. Rather boring but at least not disgusting.

Tap @ U CeskeChalupn, Prague. Pours slighly hazy golden with a nice sized white head. Aroma of nice bready malt, light grassy and flowery hops. Flavor follws nose, malty and light hoppy. Medium body, soft carbonation, very easy to drink. 050812

On tap. Like the Bernard unfiltered, this Gambrinus version is miles better than the normal one. Nice cloudy, golden colour, foamy head which hangs around for a little while, metallic, floury, hoppy smell, some bitterness and a touch of some fruit, but I can’t pin down what. A decent brew.

Tap @Olomouc (I’m not sure what is the name of the place, but it’s on the street Masarykova?, big sign "Gambrinus z tanky" marks the place). Clear amber color with very nice creamy head. Malts in aroma, very faint hops, bit metallic. Mild hoppy bitterness, easy to drink.

Still available in Prague as of May 2012. Good tasty brew with mostly malt flavors and light on the hops bitterness.

on tap at sedmy nebe in pilsen, a newish gambrinus pub, with good old evan rail. quite a pale shade of golden with, yes, a faint haze that is certainly more appealing than a standard gambac. the head retention also appears improved. light aroma of plain flour and a touch of white grape; thin and quick with some light grassy bitterness but at least much less of the industrial malt accent normally associated with gambrinus
