I have very high expectations whenever I try a Czech, but this one is a failure. Wet cardboard has nothing to do with beer, or has it?

Oct 4, 2008 500ml on tap in a bar in Prague. Inoffensive pils with some sweetness in the aroma and flavour, and a short bitter finish.

Sep 20, 2008 Cardboardy grain aroma. Nice gold colour and a bit of lacing.
Tastes a bit like a softer Urquell. Or a cross between Urquell and Budvar. Not something I was really asking for. Smooth, nice soft malts and some notes of hops in the finish. Technically not that bad, I’d think, but still not that interesting.

Sep 9, 2008 Bottled 50cl. It pours a deep golden beer with a bubbly off white head. Good head retention. Beautiful lacework. The nose is of malt, caramel, hay and metal accompanied by some raisins. Not much hops showing up. A slight hint of pop corn. The taste is malty with hints of figs, caramel and raisins. Medium bodied. Some bitterness showing up with the swallow. Slight metallic finish. Nothing special. Not worth purchasing again.
