The owner pulled a tap beer specially for me in a pot stopper bottle, so that I could taste it at home. It only lasted until Würgau, where I tasted it in my hotel room. Golden color. Malty aroma and flavor with some hop presence. Barnyard aroma and flavor, even a bit sulphury. Typical hells from a very small Franconian brewery. It’s not clean, but there is always something interesting in the flavor that makes tasting worthwile.

Draught at the brewpub as Gambrinusbräu Kellerbier. Grassy hop aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small white head. The flavour has a little of the grassy hoppiness as the aroma, quite uncommon in a German beer. Good malt body. Cleansing bitterness in the finish along with more grass flavour.
