Clear dark orange beer, huge creamy white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty yeasty, little fruity, sugary, some spices. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet fruity start, apples, pretty spicy, some cloves, candi sugar, little bitter. Aftertaste: orange peel, bit of cloves, distinctive yeasty character.

Pours a medium golden yellowish color. Aromas of fruit, yeast and some pepper. Flavors are sour, yeasty, and a touch of sweetness at the finish.

On draft at Cambrinus. Dark gold in colour with strong carbonation. Quite spicy on the nose, with elements of sandalwood, spicy yeast, and sugary malts. More exotic spice flavors in the mouth, along with cereal grains, a bit of malted wheat, banana, and booze. Moderate body. Above average overall.

Draught @ Bierbrasserie Cambrinus, Philipstockstraat 19, 8000 Brugge, Belgium.
Clear light sparkling, medium orange color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, moderate yeasty, fruity, coriander, spicy, light soap. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Tap @ Bierbrasserie Cambrinus, Brügge.
Pours clear golden with a medium, frothy, white head. Great lacing and lots of bubbles in the liquid. Aroma has apples, sweet biscuits and yeast. High carbonation, great mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit dry, good pineapple and oranges take over. Leaves some room for yeast, a buttery touch and light tartness. More like a tripel in taste than a blond.

Tried on tap at Cambrinus brasserie way back when I visited Belgium. Bright gold body with a good size head. Banana on the nose that didn’t really last, cloves more in the taste with an almost medium body.

Tap at Cambrinus. Strong wheat malt aroma with light astringency. Pale yellow-orange color with small head. Dry wheat malt, peach, and alcohol aroma. Very nice - like being in a wheat field in the summer.

Tap at Cambrinus. Brassy gold color with a fine white head. Aroma of a light tripel - kandi, malt and hop. Near medium body. Smooth carbonation. Subtle interplay of light malt and floral hop. Alcohol slightly noticeable. Finishes dry with bitter at the rear sides of the tongue. Could be high alcohol - not sure. (but now I see it’s 7%).

On tap at Cambrinus. Brugge, April 2008. Not very blond - more of an orange/amber with a lasting fluffy head. Sweetish and a bit sticky. Slightly herbal with a touch of hot alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Quite weighty mouthfeel for a blond. Not really my thing.

Draught at Cambrinus in Brugge. Sweet clove and coriander aroma. Hazy golden colour. Nice, big stable white head. Quite flavourful for a blond, a bit sweet with some coriander.
