Sep 16, 2005 Bottled. Dark amber (copper) coloured, beige bubbly head. Some caramel, malt and hops in aroma. Flavour is caramellish, oakish and a bit roasted. Aftertaste is caramellish, though not very sweet. Beerstyle is something like porter meets dunkel. A bit sticky palate.

Sep 12, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) The back label claims this is a "Märzen" which must be a complete misunderstanding. This beer is dark brown, close to black with a red, warm glow and a beige head. The flavour is burned, almost like charcoal and very bitter. Reminds me mostly of a Stout. Has a suspicious resemblance to the same brewery’s Christmas beer. 190802

Jul 31, 2005 Bottled. Pours a dark redbrown, with a small tan head. Aroma is of caramel, and sweet malts. Taste is sweet malty, with some notes of dark roasted mlts.
