Dense dark lager with intense buttery aroma and palate. Oily and malty with hints of smoke, burnt rubber and chestnuts...

2002 edition. The aroma is tangy with aromas of caramel and malt. The flavor is tangy and sweet with notes of brown sugar, malt and something tart, possibly orange. Strange beer!

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Very dark brown, almost mahogany with an underlying, warm reddish tone. Filtered, not much head. Very malty and lightly burned notes. Pretty close to the brewery’s Christmas beer. 100304

Red-brown. Buttery aroma. Malty flavour with tones of butter and rubber. Dry woody finish. A decent attempt to brew a dark lager. It has gotten better over the last year. The acidity has been replaced with more chocolate and coffee tones.

Dark amber color, with a nice head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted, some cocoa. Has a smokey flavor, some cocoa. A really nice one.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2003 Dark rubybrown with good head. Nice lacing. Burnt and roasted aroma with some sour notes. dry, roasty and sligtly smokey flavour. Thin body with a short, unclean finish.

Smokey, sweet, salty, dark. Swine drink. Cardboard, soy sauce, rotting vegetables.

Dark ruby with a steday head. A lot of tar and smoke, almost like a rauchbier. Flavour from some smoked sausage.

Dark brown. Burnt nose. Some flavor of coffee with slight artificial taste. A little acidic.

A deep red beer with a fine but fast disappearing head. The aroma is sweet and fruity. The flavor is very sweet, slightly smoked and somewhat thin for a dark lager. It ends on an OK bitterness. Nothing special.
