2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, - MAY 25, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Dark reddish brown, creamy head. Lightly roasty and soapy. Medium sweet with rather light body and creamy mouthfeel. Notes of coffee, but overall it’s a very careful beer. Some tobacco and coffee is the last impression, together with a slight metallic edge.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 27, 2009
Reddish dark-brown. Decent light brown head. Some nuttiness, metallic notes in the aroma. Thin, homebrewed metallic notes, some light gasoline underpinning. Maybe some maltiness. A bit thin, though.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4741) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Draft @ brewpub. Dark brown with tan head, decent retention. Aroma is thin and minerally with faint bland husky dark malt character in background. Thin palate with nice carbonation. Flavors are nice. Chocolate malt, roasted malt flavors. Mild coffee, mild chocolate. My favorite of the Gammerbeer bunch.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - SEP 26, 2009
Draught at Gammerbeer, Hanoi. Dark brown with small tanned head. Sweet malt, buttery, marmite, soapy aromas and flavour. This is really hard to drink. A seriously flawed beer. I didn’t finish the glass.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 HughConway (556) - Washington, USA - AUG 28, 2009
On tap at the pub. Pours dark with tan head. Not much aroma, decent malt taste, not much aftertaste. Much more a dunkel or schwarzbier than a stout.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 1, 2009
Draught@brewpub.
Dark brown color, good creamy beige head. Buttery, diacetylic nose. Sourish, some roasted malts, caramel. Sourness and light hops in the aftertaste. Not clean.
