2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, - SEP 26, 2009
Draught at Gammerbeer, Hanoi. Clear golden with a small white head. Sweet malt with a metallic tinge. Thin bodied and watery. Low bitterness. A boring lager.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 27, 2009
Lighter, brighter gold than the "Golden". Just as sparkly with better head retention. Worty, grainy aroma. Kind of watery - this reveals a wortiness that comes across bland.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Beershine (4741) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Draft @ brewpub. Light copper, a shade lighter than the golden. Good head retention. Lots of rising bubbles. Nice pure aroma. Astringent and well-hopped. Balanced with pleasant metallic notes. The palate is unfortunately thin and watery and the flavors don’t deliver after the promising aroma. Has a nice mineral character thought and is fairly quaffable.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 1, 2009
Draught@brewpub. My first beer in Vietnam.
Clear golden color, decent white head. Light hoppy, sweet maltyness in the aroma. Light palate, light bitterness and brewing mash sweetness. Watery finish. Clean, a bit sweet, low bitterness, typical brewpub lager without any personal character.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Clear pale golden, small creamy head. Very light hay aroma. Sweetish and very light bodied. Slim and clean with a touch of apples. I assume it’s an atempt of making a Czech style 10-degree lager, but it ended up too thin and hard. Finishes with low bitterness. A beer for mass consumption that is too edgy to really fit the purpose.
