Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, small and persistent off-white head with a little lace; malty nose with molecular traces of dark-malt and a sourish-grainy touch; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; light sweet-bitter finish. Tastes like a coloured Helles, not very typical for a Dunkles.........

50cl bottle from Bierzwerg. BBE 05/10/2011. Poured colabrown with a white head. Aroma is roasted and caramel malt. Flavor is caramel, some roastedness, molasses and bready notes. Nice roasted finish. OK dunkel.

Malzg-hopfig startet das Bier, geht dann aber über in ein wässriges Aroma, das bis zum Ende anhält. Unspektakulär. Test vom 11.5.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,11,9,5,7,9 - 8,30

Into the glass pours a copper-brown beer with roughly pearlyhead and much CO2. Smellsmalty sweetwith a cherry aroma and slightly roasty-bitter. Starts very recent, bitter-malty. It is very dominant hop, all in all, with a strong bitterness. The aftertaste shows bitter malty, again with decent hop bitterness. To the middle part and finish it gets a little woody-nutty the tart hop aroma goes back a little.

0.5 l bottle, thanks oh6gdx! Ruby color. Sweetish aroma of toffee, nuts, raisins and caramel. Sweet, toffeish, bready and nutty flavor with some grassiness. Some dull eggy notes. Not completely in shape (BB Nov 2010).

Bottled (thanks Timo A). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, some wood, mild herbs and some quite grassy notes. Flavour is grass, some mild metallic notes. Mild caramel as well.

It’s mahogany-red with a creamy head, and the aroma has ntoes of roasted malt, caramel, light metal and rye-bread. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, citrus, metal and the finish is surprisingly bitter. It’s and atypical dunkel.

Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a thin light tan head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel, medium notes of malt, as well as light notes of metallic hops. The flavor is sweet with quite strong notes of metallic hops as well as medium notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry, bitter, metallic, and strawy finish.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, nutty. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light malt bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081004]

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours clear and golden deep amber to hazzlenut brown with a diminished off-white head. Mild roasted malt and toffee like aroma. Flavour is mild sweetend and with a vague butterish note. Light roasted malt and toffee. Smooth and caramel malty finish with a mild uplifting bitterness.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and a little flowery hops. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt and some sulphurous notes. The finish is dry with a bitter touch. 041008
