Scent of malt and bread. Clear straw colour. Flavour of biscuit and honey. Mild sweetness with slight bitter finish. Light body. Fine for a session beer.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2016 473ml can. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin, white head. Aroma has notes of biscuit, fruity lager esters, caramel, traditional hops, and a touch of creamyness. Taste is balanced with notes of darker caramel, biscuit, bread, traditional earthy/spicy hops, slight citrus, and a drawn out, caramel biscuit ending. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall more flavour than I was expecting. Biscuit, creamy caramel, bread, and traditional hops.

Deep honey and tarnished gold colours. Clear filtered. It doesn’t have a robust head by any means, starts to pour frothy white and ends up pouring with no trace of any lacing, lightly carbonated. High sweetness immediately and a lot malty notes. The first taste mimics the aromas making this a simple lager without distinction. The hop flavour comes way too late in the aftertaste and is hard to even recognize. Would pair well with semi soft cheese, nuts and salted meats.

Superior Craft Lager, would definitely purchase again! As a consumer, it is important to know the type of beer you are buying, Gananoque hits the nail on the head with a crisp easy drinking lager. Naughty Otter is not hop heavy or bold, it is a great craft beer that you can drink (a lot of) all the time. Golden colour with citrus notes, very mild hop finish (which is my preference, too many crafts are loaded with far too much hops), clever marketing and actually have quite a nice facility if you ever find yourself in Gananoque or passing through

Picked it up because the can looks pretty cool, after talking with the LCBO rep, they told me the beer is meant for craft drinkers but not total "hop heads" - safe to say i thought the beer delivered on that goal A - medium gold with a reasonable head S - Citrus notes T - Moderate hop taste/finish with citrus/grassy notes. Refreshing and crisp. Very easy drinking, I found. Overall - easy to drink with a more complex flavor profile than your run of the mill beers, I will pick this up again at the LCBO or Beer Store

Beautifully balanced beer. Light cereal malting, modest hop flavour with citrusy notes. Perfect if you want modest hopping but more flavour. Very drinkable. Branding is strong.

473 ml can bought at the brewery on February 19, 2016. Straw blonde, small head. Dry light barley aroma, not too sweet. Barley and lemon taste, a bit sweet with none of the typical corn notes, light bitterness. Very drinkable, maybe the best pale lager I’ve ever drank!

Can from LCBO. Hay, apple, and slightly creamy aroma. Fairly fruity taste, mainly pears. An interesting lager; a little out of the ordinary. Slightly flat.

pours clear very pale golden with a small bubbly white cap offering minimal retention and lacing. pale lager fruitiness with light (unfortunate) rotten fruit notes; touch of caramel - the same stenchy one found in macro lagers, strange earthy and peppery notes, metal, other minerals. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; assertive/unbalanced grassy-spicy-earthy finish. gone bad perhaps? weak pale lager.

I am not sure what to make of all the negative comments. Nothing hits you with a hammer flavour-wise, but still surprisingly complex and beautifully balanced.
