3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I drank this sitting on a canal in a great beer bar in Gent. Cloudy yellow with average thing off white head. HEavy floral notes, lavender, rose. Sweet fruit smell as well, subtle peach and/or sweet apricot. WEll balanced. Dryer but not too dry. Floral taste with light citrus crisp. Flavor follows suit. Ends dryer. Floral really bright in the front and ends citrusy. This and Klokke Roeland are good enough reason to come to Ghent alone. Not to mention its the prettiest town in Belgium with an outrageous night life.!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small draft sample @ Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant in Gent. Hazy golden with a white head. Nose is citrus, white sugar sweet, sweet BE yeast & faint herbs. Taste is very sweet, white sugar, sweet BE yeast, citrus, sweet white bread, thick caramel, flowers, only very faintly bitter in the back. Thick BE yeast body. Overall a pretty big disappointment for me because when I see a score of 92/100 & read the words Dry Hopping, I donít expect another overly sweet BE beer (only an okay one in that category). Where are my hops bro?

Nice hops showcase for this beer. Pours blonde with ok head and lacing. Some fruitiness and a little sweet malt leaves tang at finish. Average carbonation. On tap at Novare Res.

18 Aug 2013, tap. Light gold, clear, no bubbles. Nose is light caramel malt and dried grass hops. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Sugary straw and dried grass. Reminds me of barnyard straw and maybe smarties candy. Meh.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Caramel and resin aromas. Dry with sweet caramel and yeast upfront turning to mild resin in the lasting finish.

On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Cloudy golden pour with a tall white head. Aroma is floral and earthy. Spicy hops and yeast contributions, crisp pale malt, and some yeast. Light fruit esters. The flavor is nicely crisp with a light sweetness. Banana, spices, yeast, and floral hops. Light bitterness on the finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Where: Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, Gent.
Appearance: Orange colour with a large white head.
Aroma: Malt, fruit, citrus.
Body: A bit thin bodied with a medium carbonation.
Flavour: Sweet caramel, malt. A bit of a bitter finish.
Comment: An ok beer. Rather plain. Nothing special about it, except for the fact that it is a house beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught: Served in a Gandavum glass:
Medium sized white foamy head which changes into a lacing on top of a hazy yellow colored beer.
Aroma is hoppy, like an IPA, hop fruits, apricot, peach, pine, floral and herbal tones, light yeasty, flowers, cream. Bit like a DIPA.
Flavours of bitters, hops, floral tones, fruit, apricot, pine and light grapefruit, herbal bitters, cream, light plant tones and flowers, hint of malts and yeast.
Aftertaste is bitter, grassy, hoppy, floral, light fruity and light creamy yeasty.
Low carbo, soft creamy texture, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture.
Nice beer. Think itís the best of their three housebeers.
