4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 sebletitje (4399) - Enghien, - FEB 2, 2012
33cl bottle from Alvinne Biershop.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Martinus (873) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2012
Rating of an aged bottle. BB 13-02-11
Reddish brown colour, quite firm, off-white head. Fruity hops, passion fruit, citrus, malts, light caramel, light sour touch. Slightly sweet malty flavour, caramel, bitter hops. Quite alcoholic touch. Sweet malty finish, light madeira.
Nice example of European cooperation. I really liked this beer, even thought it is somewhat aged it still manages to retain some of its hop character.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BeerSkull (678) - SWEDEN - APR 11, 2012
Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival:
The smell and the taste is slightly sour and sweet with elements of floral hops, malt, fruit and butterscotch. The aftertaste is quite long with a dry bitterness. The alcohol is noticeable in the flavor but it’s not too intrusive. The best "Doppelbock" I’ve tasted so far!

Bought this beer at the Molen in Bodegraven first time and i was so lucky to get the last3 bottles from Andy at 3Kronen Brauerei in Strassgiech. 3 brewers from 3 countrys makes 1 Topbeer, this is Europe on his best.
This beer taste very good and i hope these 3 brewers will doe it again.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 3fourths (6407) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 4, 2011
bottle shared by Andreas. 1 year old, the hops are noticeably faded. chinook, simcoe, amarillo, all fairly muted in both aroma and flavor, but doesn’t have the same character as, say, a 1 year old barley wine or double IPA or even pale ale, where the central focus of hops and secondary importance of malt design leaves it peaked, stale and lifeless. rather the toasted grain, sweet caramel and hearty wood are still singing. medium-strong hop bitterness and Samichlaus-like sugared malt throughout creates a sweet, bitter, crunchy and toasty experience. it’s a fun one even though not sampled fresh.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GT2 (3970) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 9, 2011
330mL thanks to monsterzero. Pours a muddy, deep heavy orange with a medium, off-white to orange cream head. Decent retention. Small creamy lace. Nose is a bit sticky, lemon drops, cheesecloth, candies. Taste is smoother at front, small caramel, slight grassy and herbal bitterness. Sharper, cheesy hop finish. A little past its prime.

330ml Bottle (Thanks Borresteijn) - Amber with a slight haze and a foamy head. Peach, sultanas, grapefruit, digestive biscuits in the aroma. Hoppy, tangy, fruity and ever so slightly spicy taste with notes of dried apricot, sultanas, biscuity malt and grapefruit. An excellent collaboration and really enjoyable. Nicely balanced and slips down easily for its strength.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 erickok (1085) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 19, 2011
Amber red body and medium white head. Rich aroma with pine, hay, cheese and butterscotch. Nice and fruity sweet, mango. Tastes full with sweet base and background but sharp hops. Carbonation is quite low. Almost like an India Pale, eh, Lager. Like the style this is a fine example, even though my bottle is old. (33cl bottle)
