Bottle. Dark brown muddy pour. Strange dusty aroma of fruity hops and licorice. Tastes unexpectedly hoppy, with licorice, caramel and something sweet that could be honey. Interesting, but also a bit weird.

Gek muf hopluchtje choco op de achtergrond. Salmiak domineert de smaak. Best lekker maar niet heel speciaal.

Bottle in a train in Belgium. Black coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and roasted aroma of malts, caramel and chocolate with notes of dried fruits. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel and dried fruits with notes of hops and chocolate. Roasted and hoppy finish.

Very small cream-coloured head over black beer. Liqueurish nose & sweet bread as bread soaked in wine and sweet soy sauce; liquorice. Lots of liquorice and drop in the taste - even salt drop. Bitterness made salty/mineral by the combination? Finish is quite dry, nearly ashy. Medium bodied, but very (grist)slick, slight oily feel. Yeah... somehow I fear the exotic hops don’t work well with the more traditional rest.

Bottle as rail soda, courtesy of random stranger. Pours a pitch black beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma has loads of coffee, roasted malts, dark caramel. Flavor has loads of coffee, caramel, big sweetness. Nice in balance, long sweetish aftertaste. Good stuff.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, licorice, vegetable notes in the aroma. Seaweed. Malty sweet, roasty flavor with salted licorice. Sweetish, laurel. An odd mix of a doppelbock and a porter. Hard to rate this beer properly.

What a full and layered array of aromas! Draf, wort, grass, dark cane sugar, melasse, candi. Soft mouthfeel with at start the alpha acids kicking in some bitterness, slowly shifting to a malty taste and subtle aftertaste of hops and herbal flavours. The hops go from a subtle smell to an interesting taste. This baltic porter is a bit watery, which makes it very drinkable. It’s different + has has a stunning nose - even some pepper after some sniffs. Lovely!

Very complex beer. More on the side of a bock then a porter, not very roasted in flavour yet full bodied and viscous. Has some sweetness of a quadruple but with more bitterness. Very nice layered beer.
