Draught at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Poured clear copper in color with a creamy, small white head. Nutty and bready malty on the nose. Flavour quite similar. Slightly dry, semidark bread in aftertaste. A bit of disturbing vegetables in taste also.

TAR (2346) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - OCT 31, 2011
Draught, Oct. 2009 at Brauerei Beck Trabelsdorf: Misty straw-peach hue. Creamy clumps of pasty white foam comprise the head. Dusty yeast bites the nose, with a tantalizing blend of spicy, herbal hops showcasing aniseed and black pepper. Sulfur is vague enough to the point of being pleasant and creating characterful charm. Soft, fluffy and dense carbonation. Zippy hops unleash a coarse lemon-zest bitterness as deep-rooted toasted malt lends hearty crunchiness. Yeast imparts texture and also a bit of toasted dough which brilliantly echoes the honeyish sweetness. Hops are dripping with succulent nuance. Malt exemplifies remarkable depth with a honey-drizzled cakelike heft and a cookieish snap. Superb balance. Yeast coats and layers the tongue with a dusty residue while the malt continues to dish pout more dextrinous weight. Divine fusion of lemon, minerals, and honeydew lend an uplifting quality and greatly enhance drinkability. Finishes crisply with leafy, herbaceous hops along with an accompaniment of deeply complex toasty, nutty, cakey, honeyish malt and doughy yeast muscle. The balance and complexity here, coupled with the dizzying array of nuances, is unparalleled. A very special experience was this.

Hazy copper color. The aroma is a bit malty, with vague cereals. Sweetish malt flavor; low bitterness between simple and pleasant.

De barril. Hazy dark amber colour, small beige head. Malty caramel toasty bit staple aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour has toasty malt and caramel with bit staple, bit sweet, medium bitterness.
