bottle - yellow golden beer with white foam. A bit of yeasty aroma. Flavour has some bitterness. Little bit boring.

A very light pils, not much emphasis on either malts or hops... refreshing and easy to drink, nice enough

Hazy pale golden color with a frothy white head. Grassy aroma. Taste is citrus. Not a normal german pils.

vado decisamente controcorrente e non capisco come questa birra non sia apprezzata come merita. è una buonissima pils con caratteristiche un po agrumate oltre che amarognole, persistente e beverina....tanto che mentre scrivo mi sono bevuto gia mezzo litro.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Gold with a medium head. Tastes a bit malty and a heavy taste of perfume from the hops used. But nothing more in there. really boring finish.

My Bottom Line :
This textbook German Pils lays fine spicy hops onto a crisp bed of straw-like malts in a prickly and dry mouthfeel made for quenching.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A ring of foam circles the clear golden.
-The finish is not too bitter and not too sweet, a continuation of the flavor profile in soft mode.
-The prickly carbonation can get a little tiresome after a while. I much prefer the softness of their Urtrunk in that regard (and the complexity of its yeast, but that’s another story.).
-Even though this is dry, it is not as dry at the marvelous Rothaus Pils, for example.

On tap at Ganter Brauereiausschank, in Freiburg im Breisgau.

Selten so ein gutes Pils getrunken. Zum genießen, gleichzeitig sehr süffig und hopfig. An diesem Pils müssen sich andere Biere messen! Test vom 7.12.2004, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,12,15,10,12,13 - 12,25

Golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Fruity aroma with malty notes. Flavour is quite dry, slightly grassy with some citrus, malt and nice bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. A soft smell of citrus, some yeast and cookies. The white medium large creamy-foamy head has a normal duration, the body is pale yellow. The taste is light metallic, quite bitter, some cardboard. The body is light, quite watery with a soft carbonation.
