Hefiger, deutlich getreidiger Antrunk. Malzig werdend, das Bier ist insgesamt recht würzig. Herb bleibend, helles mildes Malz, harmonierend hopfig-bitteres Aroma. Gutes süffiges und aromatisches Bier. 10/10/10/10//10

Bottle from friends, thanks. Pours hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma is strongly malty, herbal, some hops. Taste is basically the same, medium bitter. Easy drinkable.

Thank you bartlebier for the bottle. Pours a cloudy dull wheat yellow with a nice white cap. Smell is some sour mash malt sweetness, hint of caramel, grass. Taste sweet malt with a touch of tartness, grass, dry, some citrus and a bit bitter. Light body with fairly active carbonation. A nice crisp beer.

Swing top bottle from Bartlebier, thanks! Pale blonde, hazy. Floral grassy hopbitter flavor with citrus notes. Thinnish, but amazingly thirst quenching. Shy aroma, only some floral notes. Malty foundation. Excellent session beer!

Una buona Pils non filtrata, con un buon amaro non troppo invadente.al naso profumi freschi,e al gusto ricorda vagamente il milele..

330 ml flip-top bottle bought at Great Food Hall at Admiralty (last bottle, lucky me!) Cloudy honey gold colour; Moderate to thin head and white foam which faded rather quickly; Full to medium body with good lacing, not much carbonation; Fragrant and strong aroma of malt, bread, orange peel, citrus and grass, with nice honey and plum smell show up when the beer gets warmer; Palate is quite rich and smooth, with strong but soothing taste of hop bitterness (IBU 34) accompanied by slightly sweet floral notes. Dry and slightly salty after taste.
Comments: my first taste of Zwickel / Vollbier and is a pleasant one. The company website advised drinkers to shake the bottle upside down for a few good seconds before opening, and I am not disappointed. Lovely cloudiness, nice malty / citrus / honey aroma, healthy dose of hops, full body and unfiltered. This beer shows its class in an unassuming way. Seeing and feeling that old school flip top is always a joy (nice bonus). A slightly pricey but much tastier alternative to most pale lagers and German pilseners. Recommended.

Form a 0.33l bottle into a Glas. The design of the bottle implies a traditional and rustic lager. Unfortunately its rather boring missing hoppyness and herb, grain or spicy tastes/flavours. Yet its a refreshing drink in summer. Positive is the was it looks. Nice hazy gold with a surprisingly stable head.

6x33cl at local Edeka 79102. - There is hope for the Baden-Württemberg beer scene... After Waldhaus and Alpirsbacher
Ganter Urtrunk is being hyped at the moment, untypically marketed in 33cl Bügelflaschen that contain a wealth of brewing info (first Itime I noticed a IBU (34) indication on a German pilsener ever and indication of hops used) and a separate tag with serving tips ("shake repeatedly and let rest before pouring").
At ca. €6/6pack, it is the priciest beer in my Edeka, but well worth it: a very creamy and hop-centered (Hallertau and Tettnanger) Kellerbier type of pils that has loads of aroma and a very pleasant, full (Vollbier) mouthfeel.
Some bitterness, mild citrus, floral notes and typical South-West German sweetness, not taking away from a very well brewed local pils that I will keep buying as a session beer, even considering the price. Just emptied one whilst writing this...maybe I will go and get a 3L growler at the brewery next time.

Questa è la birra tedesca più buona che abbia mai sentito! Artigianalissima, saporitissima, abbastanza profumata! Sentori erbacei citrici che si ritrovano anche nel sapore con anche un’amaro sostanziale non invadente! Retrogusto buonissimo e molto molto duraturo!!!
